9:12 here we see orange wig man get absolutely blown away by the slowed down Be nice 2 me song 9:14 hat leader reaffirms his reaction by speaking out about it and further contributing to orange man's vibes
@@Pizza_Rat yes he did, bet you didn't check the credits in the back of the dictionary yet, please don't speak on such topics without sufficient education!
the whole mixtape was sponsored and produced by rippsquad (lusi from ripsquadd produced on cold visions too and he also produced the album the fool), so no f1lthy. but the working on dying mixtape has wod members like f1lthy and oogie mane on it. thats a great listen too.
You guys are in for a crazy journey. Definitely do The Fool next. It's one of his more uplifting albums - Cold Visions was a big return to his old style with the rapping and darker lyrics, but everything he dropped from 2020-2022 was alot more positive and very spiritual. After that we need an Eversince reaction though, definitely his most classic album along with Icedancer (also Gluee but definitely do that one later)
IceDancer is personally my fav album to me it’s the most memorable. Thaiboy Digital also has a really cool sound checking him out could be pretty wavy too.
Spiderr is gonna blow yalls minds fuck. Do Eversince next, then follow chronologically. After Red Light do Gluee, then follow up with 333, The Fool and Crest. You might have to come back to Gluee later. But it's even better if you do Ecco, Thaiboy, and Whitearmor's work along with Bladee. Super interesting seeing yall's perspectives coming back from Cold Visions, which is a celebration of all the work that brought him to this point. Loved seeing u react to Cold Visions, immediately brought you into Rainworld fr
@@blkskeversince Yea Musically it isnt gonna be everyones fav fs. Esp if you prefer the more streamlined sounding projects since Spiderr covers sm ground. I think theres pros and cons to it tho. Def better songs than others on it but I just have sm fun w the themes. To me it really took a while to feel as strongly as I do abt it. The album is all about falling from grace but "accepting" it. Embracing himself and shit. He has some art I'm sure you've seen a lot of the art referencing "Free Fall" in the years following Trash Island. Which was all about harmony and being in a state of balance (1:1). Drain is just some shit following the ups and downs of these ultimately human people who have feelings just like everyone else. I think in Spiderr what I really liked was how personal a lot of the lyrics were. It was like The Fool but just more grounded in honesty. It was probably the first Bladee album that just kinda felt like him speaking, Cold Visions now being the second. I think Spiderr in retrospect was bladee kind of teasing this new direction, and giving us a little window into him starting to spiral and crack and ultimately break and hit a Loss so to speak. Bladee's lates artwork and Cold Visions photoshoots feature a new score (1:2) instead of the first Trash Island project's (1:1). 2019 featured lots of lyrics about breaking the rules. Idk I think its just a fun project where Bladee's struggling through his super polished squeaky clean "heaven" he is portraying artistically. This is even an artistic theme arguably conveyed in Claire Barrow's inner vinyl sleeve for 333. Spiderr just ties everything up and has a really sweet message abt him actually having feelings and experiences like the rest of us. Def a bit all over the place soundwise tho.
hahaha im English and watching, btw they reference the UK quite a lot in their songs as Ecco is part English and bladee used to live in London for a few years until 2020 : )
Loved it! Cartier God is apart of ocean gang and in his early career collabed with lil b and souljah boy in the myspace era, hes legendary and has so many fire albums definitely someone to get into
Really nice to hear to new drainers actually try to understand the music and the art. Many people discredit bladee because of his sometimes goofy persona and voice, but for me hes my favourite artist of all time. Really nice to hear you guys talk about him with curiousity and respect for him as an artist.❤
dude yall gotta watch the mvs for songs like sugar, apple, obidient, who goes there, into dust. (i just mentioned my favs but there are a lot of good ones) i feel like the vibe from some of them (especially sugar imo) are just unmatched
feel like noone is talking about d&g, which theoretically aint a SOLO bladee album, but its mostly his, and u can get to know other drain members from it, also a banger from start to finish and really easy to pick up. would love to see u react. eversince still top1 tho🤞🏻🤞🏻
perfect analysis, this is where it all started, and yes, Bladee is one of those artists that you kinda like the first listen and then you'll finish to LOVE it after 2/3 re plays
You know I'm subbed, great reaction and really looking forward to The Fool Really like how you're comparing your experiences with the projects and giving personal insight into your music taste in general. Fave tracks in the first reaction and or some kind of "best beat/lyric/etc" could be cool too 😁 Hope you guys are blessed + see success on your channel
honestly this was perfect after cold visions, its the most structurally similar and has a similar vibe just more mellow and glitzy. also bladee is a lot more insecure and money hungry on this album pre blowing up more compared to his distaste with wealth on the new album dg jeans vs i dont want to hang out beast are by rippsquad (lusi, rip, pj beast at the time) oh and Whitearmor on close hence best song
Bladee usually has one producer or group handle the bulk of each project, so you’ll get a feel for who’s production style it is. This one and The Fool are Rippsquad, who also made a bunch of beats on Cold Visions.
F1LTHY didn’t work on Icedancer. It was all ripsquadd which is a producer duo. (7evaa and Lusi). Lusi worked on Cold Visions tho and you might have seen some parallels there. His first time working with F1LTHY was the year before this came out, Working on Dying in 2017
Redlight next! Everyone’s saying the fool but redlight is in that prime bladee era the ying to the yang of icedancer. The fool is my one of my favorite bladee albums but redlight just has that icedancer feel whereas the fool is a little more mainstream feeling
Hearing you guys talk about the short songs at 41:57 made me excited to let you know Bladee has a near 9 minute long song with Ecco2k on Crest called 5 Star Crest. You guys will cherish it… such an excellent song
i would suggest doing all his albums from before icedancer before you go into anything more recent, eversince is a very cohesive album from that period
Order should rlly be Eversince Working on dying The fool 333 Gluee Red light Crest Spiderr Exeter Then all the collab albums like d&g, trash island and psykos (ignore good luck and avp)
Do 333 or Exeter , don’t do eversince yet or anything older then red light . There more of the niche albums , I think you need to work you way down like you’ve been doing
