I love the difference of perception between Yor and Anya vs Loid. For them it was like "yay we saved the country" (Anya thinks big so she saved the planet) meanwhile Loid knows that this is just one of the countless attempts he has stopped and has to stop in the future.
15:28 The reason Yor had a disturbing thought is that in Japanese, "consonant" (子音) and "cause of death" (死因) are homophones, both pronounced as "shi-in."
I wonder if Yor is a experiment subject like Anya is, would explain the super strength. "I had a daughter" confirms a few things. When she said that stuff about war and finding the pieces of you lover stuck to wall and kids dying, it was from personal experience. So both her husband and daughter died in the war but instead of taking revenge on Ostania, she is putting the effort in stopping the war and making sure it remains on halt.
The author gave us a clue about how horrible the war was between East and West, especially from Sylvia/The Handler when she was talking to those students, and yeah we never learn about war like she was asking them, you can only know that by expiring that first hand. Also I wish Endo Sensei gives us more information about Yor and her past because we only know how she helped Yuri but never how she got that job also I would love to see more of Loid's past and why he wants a world where kids don't cry. Another thing I'm curious about is Anya's backstory so hopefully in the following seasons we will have more. Now that I'm rewatching this show with you and hearing the openings and endings in English and Spanish, I notice that they show us pretty much the characters's feelings. So hopefully you can react to them after you finishe season 2
Hehe, this episode had lots of action, comedy, and serotonin moments. ^-^ I love Anya’s devious faces whenever she thinks of her carrying out her mission plans.
Yor kicked a car racing at her. More I rewatch this, I'm convinced that Yor can't just be naturally strong, but must have gone through some government experimentation like Anya and Bond. Note that ALL of the Forgers are orphans. They were attracted to each other like magnets.
The next episode is one of my favorites. The opening scenes are brilliant as you try to figure out what’s going on! Looking forward to your reaction to it! 🤠
I know I'm a bit late - it was a few episodes you asked for more recommendations like SpyxFamily - but if I may, I'd like to put in my two cents for My Dress-Up Darling. Whenever I watch it, or reactions to it, my face hurts a lil bit from smiling so much. Fair warning that it does contain a decent amount of fan service, though it's not without purpose IMO. The manga's written by a woman and she takes a lot of true facts about cosplay, life, and emotional beats and portrays them wonderfully. The production team really does it justice as well.
Hopefully the flashbacks you brought up in the comments to the episode will be issues addressed in the third season. I'm a reader of the manga, so I won't say more than that.
