Cool video. I picked up the bmpcc4k last year for my RU-vid channel and as a Webcam for my remote editing setup. I really don't want to miss this camera
Def wanna pick up a blackmagic cam when I get the chance. This made me consider the 4k potentially over the 6k! Still rockin with the A7iii from 2018 till then lol
@@026_dhruvgupta7 what if I’m running a one man band on a year Long project with a shotgun mic attached. All handheld. Etc etc. any other cams I should consider ?!
@@pkonttinen I didn't knew you also could go with bmpcc 4k , go with it rather match it in post ,it has 12bit depth flexibility , go on ,have a snatch, you won't regret
Battery life sucks. Low light even with a speed booster is so-so. Otherwise 12 bit RAW internal is just a superb feature that could entice me to switch to BMPCC.
Hope this helps explain why it's easy to edit B-Raw footage - The B-Raw codec does something called "Debayering" of the footage in the camera as it's making the raw files. While it does this, it still preserves a lot of the raw data, such as white balance and ISO data so that you can adjust in post. Since your computer does not have to do any "Debayering", your computer can work with the footage a lot easier. Previously, the BMPCC 4K only supported Cinema DNG raw. That was a NIGHTMARE to edit, because your computer had to do all of the work to read the files.
It's about time RU-vidrs show us something we can actually afford. Everyone is doing content on those very expensive cameras like the a7s3 and fx3. Nice to see you still with us budget creators.
Just a quick question, what monitoring settings are you using in the Ninja V with the feed from the BMPCC? I’m having trouble getting a good reference on mine as there is no option to choose the BM on the ninja (only Panasonic, Nikon, Sony, etc..). And do you use a kit in camera to output to the ninja or a little on the ninja itself. Thank you. 😊
I was going for the A7c for a budget cam but after watching this video I feel like getting a black magic would help me get a more solid cinema build, the only thing that concerns me is that it isn’t it weather proof - hmmm
Cool man! I noticed some travel film makers were starting to use it on gimbals aswell! Would be super intresting if you would make a video about an easier lighter way of using the pocket 4K! Anyway, love your content mate 🤙🏼
great video! the links dont seem to be working :| wanted to know how much the whole setup cost :) We only making cooking videos, do you think its a good purchase for us?
Honestly I would go with the a7siii or sii for u, this camera is not beginner friendly poor auto focus and no in body stabilization still an amazing camera but the A7siii would be way more user friendly. Just my opinion
There is so much confusion over this camera. Is the sensor bigger than micro four thirds but smaller than full frame? Is the sensor bigger than apsc sensor? Can you use micro four thirds lenses in bmpcc 4k camera? Thanks.
You can use micro four thirds lenses on it but the framing will be smaller. The speedbooster not only adapts canon ef lenses to mft but also widens the frame.
