I think this one is no more safty enough if the chin portion is removable The helmat is easily break whn accident happens which is nt safty....

Bro Dont feel bad also dont get offended. But buying a bike worth 15 lakhs And buying a helmet worth 5500/- dosen't makes any sense which is not appropriate on the safety standards. SMK is not even offering SNELL Rating. On such a powerful adventure bike which can take you anywhere you should have atleast bought a SNELL rated helmet. Like AGV,HJC, Shoei Or arai. Agv's basic helmet's cost 14k HJC's snell rated helmet costs 9k Dont compromise on safety. And after Buying SMK you have surely compromised on safety.

I ride a Tiger as well and I've got a SMK Hybrid too. Your point is well taken but my intention was to support Indian helmets and this is a genuine attempt by Studds to up their game. Hopefully they'll keep improving and coming up with better and better products.

That helmet have a Dot and ECE which in some countries people put ECE rating higher than snell. i wear agv k5 on a KTM 390, not because i can't buy cheaper one because i want the best on what i can afford not everyone feel the same way. and by the way why isn't one of the most if not " expensive consumer grade level helmet Agv pista gp RR don't have a Snell rating? The agv pista gp rr, pista gp r and corsa r are costlier than most of the snell rated Arai helmet yet they only came with dot and ece certification

Is it comfortable to put on the ½ face with your spectacles on, and then clip the chin bar into place? What size fits you?

White-Blue-Red combo I wear it as an open face first and adjust the mask and spectacles correctly before attaching the chin bar Chin bar has to be pressed inwards, or the helmets straps pulled outwards to allow quick slotting. Helmet strap is fastened last View angle is both horizontally and vertically wide. Especially lokk down is superb. Pinlock works very well. Thanks for a great review.

I bought the SMK Hybrid Evo GL152 pattern. White-Blue-Red combo after reading this review. The peak was discarded right away. I am a 54 year old, with progressive spectacles (I am bifocal) so vertical adjustment of spectacles are very crucial. I wear it as an open face first and adjust the mask and spectacles correctly before attaching the chin bar Chin bar has to be pressed inwards, or the helmets straps pulled outwards to allow quick slotting. The more the joints , the weaker the chin part . Best is full face , but specs person like me need a modular so go for something sturdy at chin part , not one like this which can be detached , because it becomes a not so tough area.

Haha depends bro. If you are using full face you need to remove specs before wearing the helmet and then wear it by lifting the visor. In case of modular and half face helmet there's no issue.
