I've had the fodsports fx8 for a while and for the price it's really good my buddy brought the ms1 Pro for our trip to the picos de europa and the thing we found was the range was greatly reduced on the twisted in the hills
i already own a pair of fx4 pro the only little thing was the sound quality after about 40mph so i could definitely see an upgrade to the m1s nice one for the knowledge
My wife and I purchased these and I agree for the price they work surprisingly well. My wife being the passenger and the close distance between the two units it did take some trial and error to get clear sound quality. On my naked bike pass 50 it's not very good. On my dressed bike it remain pretty clear up to 65, 70.
I recently got the FX 6 from FOD Sports and honestly Cardo and Sena are going to need to reduce their pricing exponentially before they see me part with my hard earned dollars we are talking about a device that is 1 Quarter of the price and does everything you need it to.
Do these connect with other devices, like Cardo? And do they use a propriety connector for the mic? I've watched a few reviews of budget units (Teleheer) which I can't use with my mic bc it's a smaller plug.
The only thing you missed testing was music while driving at speed. I hear that some of these ie fx8 doesn’t have a high volume to hear music over the road noise. Good review overall though, thank you!
What is the phone call volume like at motorway speed? Ive had a few intercoms where the music volume is spot on but when im on a call i cant really hear the other person over wind noise.....what are these like?
I’ve watched a few of these intercom tests recently, and nobody seems to use their odometer trips to check the range. People use terms like a good/reasonable/far distance, which are all subjective. Why not just ‘measure’ the distance?
Don't know if I got a faulty unit but mine wouldn't play music or anything without "skipping". Waiting to hear from the supplier how to return. Very dissapointing.
Good review and the sort of thing I wanted to know. Been looking at interrcoms for ages BUT can't pull the trigger because the ones I have tried are just too quiet. Anything over 25mph and may as well not bother. Music, sat nav instructions, phone calls, all are inaudible with or without earplugs. I spent a day moving the speakers to the perfect spot to get the most volume and it made no difference, I even doubled the velcro to get them squished against my ears and this just made things too uncomfortable and still couldn't hear. Only thing missing from your review is the sat nav and conversation thing. Some units allow multiple connections so you can listen to sat nav and have a conversation with your mate, and some even allow music sharing and sat nav instruction sharing. Does this unit do this? I tried contacting Lexin but thier communication is...not the best. Plus when I asked about volume, they simply sent me a link to the website that has no info on them. Sorry for the rambling but this is about one of THE best reviews on these products I've seen. Thank you.
Hello 👋 The intercoms only let you connect to one device at a time. So either rider comms or phone for music and satellite navigation, phone calls. Hope this answers your question best regards Helmet Head
@@HelmetHead dude, that's exactly what I neede to know. But now you buggered things up by giving us another excellent video on the Moman communicators!!! NOW what do I do??????? Ages ago I sent an idea to Username Kate about intercoms, and doing a review shootout of the budget ones, as there are so very few videos on them. Didn't happen though. I can send you the same info I gathered for her if you'd be interested. Just an idea I had.
So I ordered a set, I’m specifically wondering how the Intercom “reconnects” after it goes out of range, as we use these off road in the woods. Does it re-connect seamlessly or does it require effort.
@@kevindarkstar thank you, I have sense talk to a tech for fodsports and he advised "after" a lost connection, the units "try" to auto reconnect for 3 to 5 minutes, so if your out of range for more than 5 minutes, you would have to manually pair the intercoms back with the pairing button, which is acceptable.
Hey boy's! I have one question. Can these unit's as we listening music to start a dilogue (music stop) automatically and when dilogue stops music comes on?
