Hi man very good review, I would like to know if just the shovel support was enough to go with the Dune tent or if you had bought something on the side to be able to put the support? Thanks a lot!
Came back from a 15 day trip covering some really intense terrains in Tassie. No further support needed. Only thing I realised wasn’t as good was the mounting hand tightening nuts. I’d replace them with some proper high tensile nuts and spring washers soon.
Hi, great review with good information. A question please: Have you found that the loose cover lets in lots of dust that then gets into the inside of the tent? Also, I've come back to your video and can't remember but is there any condensation problems or issues with rain for this tent? Thanks
Hi there! We personally haven’t had dust issues. Minor dust makes it under the cover. Very minor. No dust gents in the tent at all. Condensation is an issue but that’s any tent without ventilation. When we sleep with the side ventilation pans open, it’s all good. Breaths hitting any cold surface without having anywhere else to escape from = condensation.
Did someone say Tassie 😂🍻😎🥾 great review I'm definately wanting this tent they have made a 2.0 version now it's all the same what I've been shown and told...just a lighter frame and ladder bracket mounts have changed that's it....I'll be getting one I reckon I'm over the swag
@@Jalvi_au cheers mate...I think the new light version only comes in 140 not 120 which is a shame I don't own a tank I have a forester not a 4x4 tank lol Take care all the best thanks
Sorry about the delay mate, yeah it is. Me and my girlfriend take it off when not in use and pop it back on right before a trip. I have since installed a winch in the garage, keep an eye out for that video.
Im thinking about getting this for my exmouth trip in wa. Just unsure good it holds up in windy beach conditions? There's also the hard top version. Just unsure. Its gona go on a 105 series land cruiser.
I will honest with ya, it’s def not that great in super strong wings but it’s as good as anything else out there. The canvas will flap no matter what brand you get. After a long day of hike, drive and adventures though, it didn’t ever matter 😅
Hey man, got any ideas on how to get the cover back on easier? I cant roll it forward as i have a solar panel in front of the tent and it will be covered if i roll it forward, I have a ranger and its on the back(canopy) and its a very high vehicle so its a pain in the ass to try and get the cover over the top of it easily... any ideas would be appreciated
Sorry about the delay mate, I was away. Yes! I actually tried the pole method where you pop a small stick or pole (wider than the tent width) on top of the cover. Then take the corners from either front end off. Hold them to the stick and roll the stick. It basically rolls the cover up around the stick while taking it off easily. It does require 2 set of hands though.
