Nice, I have this same combo, I agree the handle is short, but you give and you get when it comes to compactness. If you want a similar rod with a longer handle, the KastKing BlackHawk II has a much longer handle. You'll get less wrist fatigue for casting and reeling, but you do pay the price in compactness. I say keep it 6' and under as aligning all the eyelets on a 7'6" rod is annoying, especially on a kayak.

A left hand reel would solve the problem casting with two hands on the short butt. It lets you be able to palm the reel with your right hand which in turn gives you more room for your second hand. Also, you eliminate having to switch hands after casting. All in all, its such a good rod.
