When you were by the Harbor I liked the Jobe. Your voice was clear and crisp with that one compared to the others. When you went to the Pike it picked up a lot more of the traffic noise than I like, although your voice was still the most crisp. Tough call. But for your purposes and the issues with Post, you know best. Enjoy your new mic.
I totally agree! and when listening on headphones the low end quality of the Joby mic makes it sound very full. For someone wanting a budget mic for an indoor setting with no noise like a music studio the Joby would be a great choice!
Thanks for the great video. The Movo hurts my ears, I had to strain them to understand you. Too much low end. The Joby and the Rode sounded similar to me, I would say it was a draw. In the harbour/bay/whatever scene I liked the Rode better, in the other spot the Joby sounded cleaner to me. The Rode is a bit too harsh, especially with sibilants, but the body was more detailed and lively. The Joby did not have those bad esses, but the mid was not that full. Well, nothing that could not be fixed by some little EQ in post.
Thanks! Great analysis :) I definitely agree, Joby and Rode are too great options. It was pretty hard to choose between either. Just ended up being preference in my opinion.
@@chuckaluck123 it was a bit unfair since the Movo didn't sound that way out of the box, but at least we had the Joby and Rode to compare with eachother :) thanks for your input!
