This is a review of the best calculators to buy for High School, College, and beyond! I am an engineering student and I personally use the Inspire with the CAS option, but not everyone needs that expensive of a calculator.
Leave a comment down below on what you guys want me to review next! Thanks for watching, have a great day!

What I really don't understand is, that switching between scientific and engineering notation is so painful using the nspire. It is so much easier using the casio. As well as shifting the decimal places up and down/(engineering notation 25E3 = 0.025E6). You have to go always to the menu setting to change it and shifting is still not possible. On the other hand you get a full cas system when you take the nspire, which btw is not always allowed at every school or university.

I am surprised that you missed the Casio FX-991EX. It was the replacement of the fx-115ES plus about 3 years ago, and is much faster, has better keys and more functions. It is also much better than the Ti 36x pro , I have both of them.

Good review. The TI-36X pro is a nice calculator, except for some reason TI originally made the keys in the right row silver, not sure what the point of that was, because the reflectiveness makes it hard to see the symbol. Now they might have changed something up with the design because the one I saw in Walmart had all silver keys, whereas on Amazon I see some silver keys now have symbols with black outline, and I even read a recent review where the keys that were silver are now gray plastic with white symbols- making those much easier to read.

If you want a graphing calculator, GET THE CASIO CG50. Its between 2 and 10 times faster than the ti-84 for a lot less money, ui is more intuitive and it has 3d graphing functions. its really a no brainer. The reason ti84 is recommended in america is that they have a monopoly on school calcs due to them being the main choice for textbooks and as such teachers.

Yes. But with the 2021 updates ti has got better. Anyway. CG is cheaper and good. But, for example, I own both ti30x marhprint and the 991ex. Casio has a bunch of things more (and lack of others)... but usability is way under. Then, you can be more used to a specific OS. I mean, TI 84 is not bad. Casio has the usual "chaotic" layout. That said i bought the cg, because is cheaper. I would buy both and try which one is the best if I could...

CAS stands for computer algebraic system. It basically gives you the ability to solve for variables and indefinite integrals. A non cas n-spire can’t do that. A lot of classes ban cas calculators for that reason
@chancewagner
@chancewagner 2 года назад
I had an n-spire non cas and I loved it, but in engineering due to being able to take notes on them it is banned in most classes so I had to buy a ti-84 to use for some classes and a ti-36 for classes that won’t allow graphing calculators

What calculator is the best for SAT?
@vedaanshvijaywargiya3596
@vedaanshvijaywargiya3596 Год назад
Any scientific calculator would do. (I used the Casio FX-991es and it worked perfectly fine. In all honesty you dont really require the calculator for most of the questions. A graphing calculator might be a bit of an overkill but thats just what I think. Go with what you like best but do check the SAT calculator policy to check which ones are allowed)

TI over priced and outdated fx-CG50 way better than the TI 83,84 etc crap and takes AAA a big selling point to me The most powerful is HP Prime just untouchable leaves all in the dust tho because it touch screen based so much one may as well use a smartphone with an graphic calculator App guess that’s why HP have dropped support and leaving this market For TI it’s lost it’s main selling point as it supports C/C++ ASM made a big deal yet removed this feature via firmware update so those who purchased it now have a downgraded calculator tho CASIO one can easily write C and ASM apps for it tho just not official from CASIO tho the company hasn’t prevented it.

Really? Have you owned all of them? I have got top-of-the-line model for both HP & Casio.. HP Prime is fast & has lots of functions but difficult to use - at least for students.. Casio CG50 is not as fast but so much easier to use - more "educational" I would say.. BTW I used to own a TI calculator in 1990s - it's just basic entry level.. I didn't like it but I won't comment on TI - maybe you are right it's junk.. :-D

Maybe in the 80s-90s. I own an HP33s and HP35s because I'm used to the RPN system. The keyboard is not very good. you have to press some keys more times to get the value. Never had these problems with the cheap casio years ago.

@@fabioa.565 Very true. As an HP collector (116 different models) there certainly are some dogs in the bunch. If you need a more modern machine to use every day, may I suggest trying HP 11C, HP 12C (pre 1985), HP 32SII or an HP42s. Personally, I use an HP97 for the red LED display and the printer.
