I just got the R50, I am thinking whether this or sony ZV-E10 would be the better choice. I would use it for family and travel photography, the lens options for are extremely limited by the Canon. I have found very scarce information ablut the ZV-E10's performance when it comes to photography.

great question. the r50 is a better choice for family stuff for sure. its an easier camera and it was made with your shooting style in mind. but the zve10 is better for raw photos but i doubt you will need the raw photos for family stuff. r50 is a good choice. and the lenses have improved for the r50. I would look at their rf zoom lenses. a beginer zoom lens is perfect for family and travel stuff

Any Canon Camera is good. My wife and I both still have our Canon 6D camera. I still like the close of Macro Photography. My wife likes to take videos.

I can't decide between R7 and R8. The R7 has more MP, ibis and better battery life. The R8 has a larger and better sensor, better lowlight and is smaller. Damn, why does the R8 have only 24 MP?! I wish there will be an R9 or so that will be best of them both.

I would say it really comes down to whether you want a full frame sensor or apsc sensor. Don't stress about the resolution too much unless you like to do in really edit out fine details in portraits.

Go r8! Have the r7 and the sensor is not as Sharp as my old r6 or the rp, the canon fullframe sensors are just better! In lowlight r7 is shit compared to the fullframe brothers… Thinking of changing to the r8 bacuse i loved my rp as a travel camera and the r8 have the same body… just buy a bunch of duracell lp-e17 batteries cause the smaller battery is a thing….

I have both. Low light beast is the r8. If you have money rather wait and save for r5mkii

Depends on what you shooting tbh, but you can’t really tell a difference unless your pixel peeping

Hi, I am deciding to purchase a camera to start my photography journey. I was considering either the lumix gx80/85 or canon r50. To note the lumixgx80/85 comes with a two lens kit. I would appreciate any advice on which you would recommend. I hope to use this as an everyday camera for travel and street photography. Thanks :)

On the same boat.. am undecided what camera to start with since I probably won't buy another one till I really see if I have time for this since it more of a hobby than a job... I was considering buying one used. My friend who is a photographer for over 18 years says to buy either a used canon 5d mark IV, or a Sony a6100 to start. Depends on budget of course. Since the canon is more pricy even used. But I feel like I wanna buy maybe a cheaper new camera like the canon R100 with 2 lenses for 800 on vest buy smh 😅

I feel so dumbbb I was debating the R7 or the RP. Chose the rp bc of slightly cheaper and future rf lens upgrades. Damnnn

I don't think you made a bad choice. the Both cameras can use rf lenses. The R7 is faster but the Rp is still the cheapest way to get into full frame. I think you are on the right track

r50 is great. the r10 is an upgrade if you want better photos shooting speeds and 4k 60 . The r10 is better but only get it if you need it or budget is not a problem
