I was deciding between the NOCO and Hulkman, then I saw that the NOCO still uses Micro-USB! That tells me that it has not been upgraded in a long time.
NOCO has been around for a long time now, whereas all the other have changed names, or have disappeared. Hulkman sounds like a great jumper, but it's flashy ads and online presence has made me wonder if it's all just successful online campaign. But, I do think, all lithium based jumper are all the same, not to many have outright bad reviews that I know of.
I have owned the Hulkmen for a few years now and liked it so much that I bought another one for wifey’s car. Just hook it up, it reads ready turn the key and you’re off and running or I should say rolling.🙂
avapow 6000a did not work for my cummins at 8v. the gooloo turned it over like it had fresh batteries.. shut it off and tried again with the avapow and it still wouldn't turn it over. cant even start my lawn mower if the volts are low off the avapow. would not buy again.
@@imgettingold9407 5 months later and my gooloo is routinely starting cars. Common rails and tractors. I don't even remember where my other jump starters are...
It will do more. Let your car crank longer, power devices longer and start larger engines. My NOGO GB40 is rated at 1000A and works fine on my 3.2L 6 cylinder engine. But it is only rated for 6.0L for gas engines or 3.0L for diesel engines. The little box is perfect for me but for someone with larger engines or who want to use it camping to charge computers or phones it is too small.
1:27 - woah....... are they paying you? This is only a 2000 amp jump pack. It cannot handle just about any vehicle...... Not even close.... Why are you misleading viewers who need help? You are a very low individual.
Only the HULKMAN Alpha85 ($149.99 at Amazon) and the NOCO Boost Plus GB40 ($99.95 at Amazon) had above average user ratings. The rest are mediocre, even the more expensive ones. Neither has a built-in light or a tire inflater=inflator. The Hulkman claims it can start with a totally dead battery. For those who need this feature, if it is true, the extra $50 over the NOCO would be worth it
@rpasco9352 The NOCO units will start a completely dead battery. If that is the case, there is an override button you push to bypass that system and let it start your car.
fredhinck9685 Maybe you don't know how electricity or these boxes work. The cables from clamp to box are short and thick. They will do it. (At least on a NOCO)
@@boyracer3477 Still BS Most stater draw is around 135 amps. #1 welding cable will handle 300 amps Check the power rating for 12 ga wire. 30 amps current carrying. The caps in these boosters might put out 125 amps for 30 seconds. Any longer and the cables will be spaghetti. Prove me wrong.
@@boyracer3477 Didn't say it would take 30 seconds, just that the unit doesn't have the capacity listed. I have an Audew booster. It does work for the intended quick boost. As per Project Farm, it's pretty good. In his test the amperage dropped from 300 to 200 amps in 4 seconds before shutting down. My thoughts are that if your engine will start with 135 -150 amps, you might get twenty or thirty seconds because you're using less than half of the power on tap.
what good is any of these if it's dead when you need it most, love the Dewalt beeping low battery needs recharging feature but it's too big to store in my car
amiebennett6354 What good is a car if it won't run when it's out of gas? Oh, you maintain it by looking at the gauge on occasion? Do you not have a cell phone because the battery runs down? No, when the battery gets low, you charge it. Maybe every 6 months or so, check your battery booster.
NO, my booster is in a pouch along with its wires, NOW it sits in a tray in front of my shifter and is plugged in ALL the time. It's a piece of crap booster Michelin from Costco, I'll get a solid state one next it only requires a 5 to10 minute trickle charge from your battery to start your car, so if your car won't start it WILL charge the solid state capacitor@@boyracer3477
I just watched a non-paid demonstration RU-vid video of a guy who has an impound yard full of old cars. It was 5 degrees outside and the cars were covered with a foot of snow. He started 6 of those vehicles, all with completely dead batteries, some which had not run in over a year but all had not run for extended times and they all started. He still had 25% left. This video is completely unfair. He must have cranked that car for 2-3 minutes which was the engines fault, not the NOCO GB40. That booster is all you will ever need for your car emergencies. You don't need a bigger one unless you have a very large diesel engine.
I hope you know that "4000A" is an absolutely fake # and an all out lie - not just on yours, but anything claiming a number that large that you can easily carry with one hand....
So you'd rather buy a new battery every time you forgot to turn the lights off and the battery died? That makes no sense. It sounds like you don't understand what these devices are made for.
@@panczenPL The point is that these things are not only made for when your battery is old and dies. For example, your car could have unexpected parasitic draw due to an electrical issue. This would come in handy. Things happen.
without a full set of specs, I would say the Hulkman or NOCO would be my choice because I have 3 large trucks. 2 of them are 7.3 diesels and one is a gasoline V-10. I doubt that either model would get it done for me with the diesels. When they need assistance, it's usually in -20* F or colder and they would need lots of attempts to overcome the cold fuel & oil. As a possible option for the Gas V-10 truck, one of them might be able to get it done. I have yet to find one of these products that can provide 1800 CCA below freezing. The skinny little wires would melt before it started a large diesel engine.
@@akbarpashtun Since my needs are in the 1800-2000 Amp range, I haven't put much effort into looking for a battery pack. For an application like that, I would be better off with a small gas engine and a big alternator in the back of the truck.
MakeitZUPER The GB40 is only rated for 6.0 diesels. It is for cars and smaller diesels. Their line includes larger units which would fit your needs. It's a good product. I'm just a user with a GB40.
hated that thing. after a year i could jump very little with it. the gooloo gt4000 would start something and then i could shut off and the avapow still wouldn't start it.
