Hi Todd: Thanks for creating and sharing this video. I love seeing bag videos as I am in the process of buying a new back-pack. I currently have the LowePro Tactic 450 but I have been very interested in a Shimoda bag. The overall appearance of the bag is very nice and the build looks to be of good quality. The only negative that I see is keeping the straps clean. Manfrotto should have a small pull-out tarp-like cover that could be pulled out to lay on the ground first to keep everything clean. Cheers, Keith
Was on the fence about spending so much, but I have a ton of crap. Since the video covered more than I even thought I needed to know I made sure to remove it from my amazon cart and re-add with your link. Hope that helps you as much as this helped me. I also subbed, as this was my second time finding myself watching through your entire video for some reason or another.
Todd, nice video but this is larger than 6 of the largest US Airlines allow for carry on bags. True I have only been measured once but it's overall external dimensions are 50". United, Delta, American, Jet Blue and Alaskan only allow 45". The only airline that allows 50" is Southwest.
@@dominey Yes but if that flight leads to KLM in Amsterdam, Holland to Africa, it may be weighed and measured and it's too large. Just my 2 cents as a half a million mile flyer.
@@throughmylens3530 All good - I appreciate the feedback! I know that some airlines can be really strict with their carryon policies especially outside the US (I’ve had to move gear between bags more than once to meet weight requirements). Always good to check ahead of time before flying.
Hmm interested with this bag.. I think it's well thought out and not something that copies features from other brands. I am curious if the extendable space would be able to accommodate 1 or 2 compressed cubes for clothes. If it can this thing is a winner.
Thanks, this is a great review! When you’re out in the field, where do you store your items that you wouldn’t want to put in the camera bags- water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, etc. ?
I’m looking at getting this model. Can you please advise how you handled keeping the straps from getting dirty and in turn your clothes when the bag was placed down and the main gear compartment accessed? Thanks.
Hello and thank you for the vidéo. I bought the bag after watching and got it. But I'm very disappointed by the red spacers. The velcro really doesn't fit. All my gear move inside. Because velcro can't fit on all their surface. A serious design mistake in my opinion. When I look my old bag. A Tamrac anvil 27. 5 year old. 100 weddings fullday. 500 other shoot sessions. He is old but still good and rigid. The velcro very hard to move. About the quality general feeling, I estimate that the manfrotto will reach the same state of wear within 3 years. The future will tell.
Hey Todd, i would love to see a review of Kolari Clip-in ND filters. Im curious if the are as good as the circular solid’s Kolari ND’s and you are real expert in terms of ND’s.
Hey Todd, thanks for sharing your opinion after practical usage. I have a question, Gimble compartment, is it safe when bag is fill loaded. I guess when fully loaded ,it bends a bit hemce laptop & gimble can get that bending a bit, a possibility of damage? If you can check this possibility
