Best CHEAP 8 String Guitar?!?

Literally just picked this up last month because I wanted to get back into playing guitar after a long break, and have always wanted an 8 string. Pretty damn satisfied with it for what I paid. The shorter length (27") makes the strings it comes with (.009 - only .065 on the lowest string) feel a little floppy but I dropped some heavier gauge ones on there and it really tightened the sound up. Good guitar for a really good price and a good option if you want to start getting into playing extended range without spending way too much money on one you aren't sure you'll like

i have the 7 string gio and couldnt be happier with my purchase

i have enough problems with a 6 string

No 8 string yet and definitely wouldn't count out getting one. Right now I am enjoying the Petrucci Archetype with my 7 and "detuning" to get a good taste of what sounds/rhythms can come from that 8th string. If its something that I could see myself using regularly it'll only be a matter of time. Then the next hurdle will be getting used to the slightly larger fretboard and fanned frets. What's the scale length on that one? Is the string tension across the fretboard decent?

I love my 6 string and I can make it sound super heavy but my band other guitarist uses a 8 string so now I'm looking into it thanks man tbh they r cool but idk why I would need one

Mine will be here tomorrow same model but I had a bone nut installed and a different set of strings. Can’t wait 😛

Whats up big fella, first video of yours ive seen, but I own a RG8 (same specs white etc) and I had and sold a RG8F or what ever the name was, fishmans grey sparkle gold hardware etc, and I genuinely enjoy the RG8 more hence why i sold the 8F. But on that too I sold my RG1127 as I wasnt a fan on the neck and still enjoy my RG7221 way more. But more of a Jackson fan personally. love the video big fella

Recently took trade of my old RG8 and I’m in love again 😂 The pickups being six string bass pickups are muddy as all hell, but I’m gonna experiment with some cheap ceramics and maybe do a video on the difference

after getting a used to a 7 string it dawned on me I wanted an 8 string. for not much more money than this you can get the rg80f with fishmans

Been in the market for a 7 or 8 string the last few days but I only own a 6 string. Would you say there's a huge learning curve going straight from 6 to 8 strings? Should I start with 7 and work my way up to 8 in the distant future? So many questions! Love the video man 👍

Mick gordon the composer for doom 2016 and eternal’s soundrack said in an interview that a 9 string guitar he was gifted he could not find a use for the 9th string and that 8 strings were as many strings he felt was needed without being excessive

The stock pups sound how they need to sound to me. I'm used to reviewers vomiting all over everything and bawling because they think the pickups "suck".
