This may be dismissed as pedantry, but this video seems to conflate acoustic treatment with soundproofing. Soundproofing is about keeping the room's sound in the room, and outside sound outside, whereas acoustic treatment is about making the room sound good. In a sense, you would first soundproof the room so that the external world doesn't affect your ability to work, and then perform acoustic treatment to fix issues like room modes. Also, it appears that egg cartons don't absorb sound below ~300Hz, and that's precisely where all the room modes and bass build-up happens, which means they are pretty bad at being bass-traps. I have just started to learn about audio though, and I may be severly mistaken here. Please correct me if so, and I'll learn :) That said, one thing is for sure, egg cartons are much more flammable than most commercial bass-traps, and this fire-hazard must be taken into consideration.

Is curtain acoustic treatment is sufficient for mixing and mastering? Also, can i use the carpets ( like of wedding venue which you have mentioned in this video) to stick on walls? Because i’m not able to find felt carpets and the small size ones are costing way too much than this shaadi waale carpets. Also in your current studio, I don’t see any bass traps, how do you treat bass issues of such big room?

it is really old card, it might not be possible to use it with latest machines, but if still it is somehow, you will have to find some sort of thunderbolt converter, coz firewire is no more supported. Also, you might not find supported drivers for the recent mac os releases. In that case, you will have to get rid of it and buy something latest and compatible.
Best way is to use over year headphones and instead of treating the whole room, treat your microphones with a vocal booth. Many like me does not have a dedicated room for music production purpose.

Sir jo video banate hai unka sound kafi achcha hota hai lekin ham unki video me kabhi bhi is tarah ka treatment nahi dekhte . Iske piche kya reason hai .
This is fine for high/mids , but does nothing below 500hz....4 inch deep acoustic panels with another additional 4 inch air gap absorbs down up to 100hz I studied this in Acoustics and absorption 😌
