Found the Vident ilink400AU Scan tool very handy. No problems inputting the Injector Compensation Codes. Does have the Pilot Quality Learning-Detail function, although maybe I was doing something wrong as I tried 3 times & could not get it to complete on our 2013 SR Hilux. Others have had no issue getting the Prado's to do the PQL-Detail to complete. Eventually after a period of time running I was able to clear the DTC P1601 code to get rid of the CEL. Vehicle seems to be running much better anyway.
Will the 400 show live injector values? I just bought one myself and can’t get it to do so. I have a 2013 200 with a few k’s on her and want to keep an eye on the squirters.
Thankyou Antony. Found the tool online for 315AUD with one vehicle plugin. Extra Plugins 100. Said to work with OBD1 and 2 cars. Vehicle coverage said to be "US/EU Ford AU Ford Holden GM Porche Volvo Opel & Vauxhall Toyota, Lexus & Scion Aston Martin BMW & Mini Honda & Acura Maserati Peugeot Chrysler Hyundai & Kia Mazda Citroen Fiat & Alfa Romeo Ferrari VW, Audi, Skoda & Seat Ssangyong Land Rover & Jaguar Mercedes Benz Subaru Renault"
Great video Antony I'm impressed with tool. But scanners here in SA not in same league. Nice to see how compensation codes are entered. Enjoy your break.
Great review 👍 Im looking to buy a decent scanner for my 2019 Prado (since the dealer sucks) and wondering if this will also do customization, like turning seat belt buzzers off, turning on the DPF menu on the screen, doing a manual burn, doing service reset etc. Will this unit cover that> Thanks for your time
Sorry Anthony - off subject. In the past I think you recommended K&N air filter grease to help seal Toyota air boxes. I ordered some but since then I've seen warnings about petroleum based grease (the K&N is petroleum based) degrading rubber seals and preferring a silicone based grease? Much appreciated if could clarify for me? Awesome channel!
thats the way, fire the parts cannon based on some youtube video then research later to realise the dude is just trying to sell some gear that hasnt moved off his shelves in years.
I’ve just bought an iLink400 and it’s probably on me for not reading the sales pitch properly, but while it does have the ability to code the squirters, for the life of me, I can’t find where I can see live injector values on the tool which is the reason I bought it. Can anyone tell me if it DOES show the live values?
Hi Anthony I've had a look through several scan tool RU-vids but can't seem tp find anything for a 2005 KZTE Prado. Everything seems to be for 2006 onwards (Prado & Hilux), Can you plse provide suggestions for my 05' Prado? Thanks, Andy
I have a 2011 3.0 150 series prado i want to do injectors on as the ks are getting up there and i want to set and forget i would like to completely remove intake and do a thorough clean at the same time i was wondering if you can put a kit together including injectors and corresponding bits and peices that should be replaced while thats all apart, how can i go about getting a order in?
Does anyone know where you can order their injector kits? I cannot find Anthony's website anywhere. Or is this strictly local sales only and he will not ship? thanks!
Hiii I need help from you how can I get prado 95 year of 2002 register injectors code number f the bottom of Nozal QR code as I want to register my car as my car is missing at the start as the all injector is working please help me out
If only this worked with made in India Toyota's, which need Toyota Techstream software and an online account to access injector information. Normal OBD's will only show voltage.
