Yep that pie from that bakery is definitely one of my favorite pies ive had. I can easily smash back those chilli pies. It does have a good kick to it though. As it should
Finding a good pie nowadays is getting harder. Big Ben used to be good, until they started cutting corners and putting in sinew. Bakeries in Mount Roskill are getting lazy, doing the same now, half the time they give you what you get. Ask for steak, get mushroom pie.
man i feel you. It’s not just in auckland either it’s literally the entire country. My local bakery i’ve been going to for years all of a sudden started making very average pies, not like the ones i had been eating years prior… prices had gone up too, kinda sad really.
@@IsaacClark23 Seems like everyone is cutting corners to save a few bucks. More gravy, less meat, even the cheese is processed now, not real cheese. I had a bad experience with Big Ben pies doing the sinew trick but, I had one about three weeks ago from my local dairy and it seems like my complaint didn't go unanswered cos it was great. Mind you, it was an XL size. Try the Bacon and Egg pies, brotha. They're cracka
Big Ben has never been good! Green Bay bakery has great pies, Euro bakery in Torbay, Greenwoods Cnr bakery. Mt Albert shops has a good one. There’s plenty of good pies
