I can't do it because I'm an expat living in Panama right now, but somebody needs to invite our favorite French Tastic French Fry and her boyfriend to the states for Christmas and show her everything and experience everything!
A couple of homes in my neighborhood have mini FM broadcasters that play their Christmas music you can tune in to with your car radio as you drive by. They list the frequency on the lawn
That was a great video Marie. Seeing the amazement and joy on your face was beautiful 🥰 I hope someday you have a house of your own that you can go crazy decorating for Christmas 🎄 Take care, be safe, and enjoy you time with your family 🙏 Merry Christmas 🎅🎄
You'd be surprised but even in the small towns people decorate like crazy. Driving from W Kansas to E Oklahoma at night during Christmas time when I was younger, even back then, the displays were like magic.
Ahh memories of going out with my mom and older brother driving from town to town looking at all the different decorations. Also the time my brother drafted me to help him to try and recreate the house from "Christmas Vacation".
Some people in Canada go just as crazy with lights and noise. I only put the Christmas tree in our window so anyone going by can see it. We are so rural I think more deer moose and bear see our lights. Good video. Happy to see you in the Christmas spirit Marie. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and happy New Year with your family. You deserve it.
Hi again 👧 A Dazzling treat for the eyes that captures the holiday spirit,it must be so much fun for families there & passerby's alike. There illuminations are over the top which can't be typical of your regular Joe , it's just for the tourists & prize money ,as crazy as it is it's also inventive. I've noticed in France there's more of a emphasis on classy sophistication & tradition but why we love America is because it's larger than life weird at times & willing to try anything. From the Xmas lights I've seen its hard to pick a favourite , Moscow's impressive , London regent street with it's golden angel's , Malaga in Spain, dyker heights in Brooklyn , Venice which I've been watching recently and of course I couldn't forget Paris 🗼 It may interest you all to know if you've imagined yourself being in Home Alone for the night well now you can 🎬 One future Christmas marie your visit where ever your heart desires 🌌 🗽 and we'll be there to help make it happen. Have a wonderful weekend ,if it snow's where you are please send out a post.⛄🖐️💛
I was impressed with the fact that Marie was familiar with the “Watch me whip. Watch me nay nay”! I’m guessing that’s an American rap group, and I had never heard it before, yet a young person across the ocean seemed to be very familiar with it. It’s a small world, but as my younger brother once said, “I wouldn’t want to paint it”.
Hi Marie... you mentioned the police being everywhere. We have a similar neighborhood here outside of Boston. I would imagine the police are there to keep people moving and to avoid traffic issues of people slowing down or stopping in the street to take pictures and to just admire. The police are not there to cause trouble, they are there to prevent trouble from crowds, traffic jams and also to a lesser degree to make sure nobody messes with the decorations.
Yes there are TV shows that have light contests and the prize on one of them that is $50,000. Many people gather food or toys for charity to enjoy the light show at their homes. It's not mandatory but it is Christmas spirit so I would bring donations to the homes that ask.
Most people don't walk around looking at the decorated houses. Most people drive around the neighborhood very slowly to view the decorated houses. This causes Traffic Jams!
Marie, almost all medium to large cities. Have a neighborhood's who light up. Some have themes like candy cane lane. Christmas tree lane. All different kinds. A lot Of them have synchronized lighting. 2 music. And a lot pass out candy.
Merry Christmas Marie. Many in the US do what I do. Just a wreathe on the door & candle (simulated) in the window. But the kids do love the light displays here. 😀 People spending years & thousands of dollars on light display is fun. But it isn't really Christmas. So do some light displays in France. I actually prefer the more subdued displays anyway.
Went back to look at some of your earlier videos this week. Have you compliment you on your English. You sound like you've been living in the States for years. Merry Christmas!
My apartment has a Christmas light contest I came in second last year we don't go that far as far as Christmas lights especially for an apartment complex if I had a house that would be a different story LOL
If you like this look for " largest Chick fil a Christmas lights display in Tampa. This is one of the largest chick fil a restaurants and the busiest but also has a very large Christmas light display. I enjoy your channel Be safe from Florida
An argument could certainly be made that these over-the-top displays obscure the reason for the season. Remember, God the Son was born in a barn to an unwed teenage mother.
the Dyker heights video might be Actionkid's though i'm not sure. it looks like his work. he's been having a few copyright issues of people taking his stuff and presenting it as their own. His Dyker heights video was posted a few weeks ago as part of the Dyker Lights event.
Just remember, these displays were not created in one Christmas. Decorate your house with some lights and maybe a display for your yard. Next year add to that more. Before you know it you will have built a beautiful house display for all to see. You can learn how to computerize and synch the lights to the music. Might take a few years but then you will be the talk of the neighborhood.
Le prix pour une des concurrences des lumières de Noël était $50,000, ou à peu près 40,000 euros. Ça, suffirait peut-être payer la facture électrique! 😁🌲😉👍🇺🇸🇫🇷🇨🇦🇬🇧🏴🇦🇺
