It’s kinda cool how often they let youth teams play there. Our team from near Cleveland used to always travel for tourneys there it’s a hell of an environment
@@mikehanzal9562 If the name "had" to be changed they should've changed it to "Fighting Sue" and slightly changed the logo bit still about the same accept less "indiany"
I’ve played there many times, that ice is the best ice I’ve ever played on, it’s best when u play at like 8 and the sun rise comes through the windows it’s so magical to play there then
Utica University D3 average over 3K attendance per game. The most in D3 and better than half D1. Play in the historic Utica Auditorium which is now The Adirondack Bank Center. The Aud was the first stressed cable auditorium in the world and the precursor design for MSG. Some of the most iconic scenes from Slap Shot were also filmed at The Aud. You want to see a great hockey atmosphere come visit the Utica Aud.
I play for the wolverines and sometimes we get to practice at yost it’s really cool coming to practice and see a guy like Luke highs on the ice practice if and knowing your gonna be on that same ice in 30 mins
The "Egg" in North Dakota is better, this is Yost is just old, classic but old. I like Maine's. R.P.I. also plays in an old classic barn.Houston Field House. Army has the loudest smaller rink. 3 thousand with standing room included.LOUD! Your ears will ring..Yost Ice smells funny.Musty.
Sorry bro, as someone who lives in Ann Arbor...University of North Dakota has this place beat in every way possible. You mentioned the merch booth...UND has a full wing.
Can’t stand UofM, but definitely the best rink in college hockey. Old school as it gets, always a rocking atmosphere for games, and they open it up for youth hockey too
I’m 10 and I play hockey in flint Michigan on gfha raiders (greater flint hockey association) I’ve been in it for 3 years and I’ve been there twice and once recently and I love how your making a video there❤️👍🤣
I've played on that ice so many times when I was a kid playing hockey. My second favorite ice I've played on. My first is Joe Louis Arena, played at the Joe twice.
Not even a mention of the home locker room being on the second floor and the away room thrown in behind the other end basically on the concourse… also what other rink just has the zambonis chillin in the corner visible?
You gotta check out where Makar used to play at UMass in Amherst Massachusetts. It’s got an even more impressive score board. I award it the🏆 most underrated college hockey arena
I played Jr's out of Yost. And the hill street auditorium preceded yost. It is similar to the old OSU rink where i play now. One other pont. Yost was originally a track and field house prior to basketball.
