Hi, I’m Chris Winter and in this video, I’ll be talking about the top 7 best cryptocurrencies you should look at this year. It’s been tough being a hodler this year, but I’m already preparing my rocketship to the moon. Let’s jump straight into our list with the seventh cryptocurrency to buy.
7. Cardano (ADA)
Starting off our list is Cardano.
Cardano adopted the proof-of-stake validation early on its lifecycle, effectively eliminating the competitive, problem-solving part of transaction verification found in more popular cryptocurrency systems.
This cryptocurrency also lessens energy consumption and negative impact on the environment while increasing transaction speed.
While its growth isn’t as fast as some other cryptocurrencies, it has shown impressive gains of 4,850% from 2017 to March 2022.
Its market value currently sits at $33 billion and I expect Cardano to surprise many hodlers and non-hodlers in 2024.
6. Polygon (MATIC)
If there was a darling in cryptocurrency in 2022, Polygon would be it, as they’re up 96% for the month of July in 2022, but down 12% since last year.
Polygon’s mission is to provide faster and cheaper transactions on Ethereum using Layer 2 sidechains.
Polygon allows for almost anyone to create new protocols on the Ethereum chain.
Polygon can take advantage of the security and decentralization of the Ethereum network.
This feature alone makes it an exciting project for many years to come and 2024 should be a great year for Polygon and MATIC hodlers.
5. XRP (XRP)
Coming in number 5 on our list is XRP. XRP is well-known to facilitate faster and cheaper payments.
If you’ve ever tried to transfer money overseas to your family and friends, you know how much of a headache it is to do because of fees, and the delay it takes just to send over some money to your friend or family’s bank account.
If a person uses XRP as a bridging currency, it’s possible to settle cross-border transactions in less than five seconds on the open-source XRP Ledger blockchain at a fraction of the cost of the more traditional methods.
XRP gained more than 12,600% from its measly cheap start of $0.006 in 2017, then reaching $0.80 in March 2022.
Because digital networking and integration of cryptocurrencies in payment systems are slowly being incorporated, XRP is projected to see great use in the future.
Its market value currently sits at over $37 billion.
4. Binance Coin (BNB)
One of the more familiar names on the list, Binance Coin is used to trade and pay fees on Binance, one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges in the market.
Based on trading volume, Binance is the biggest cryptocurrency exchange globally.
Their mission is to bring cryptocurrency exchanges to the forefront of financial activity globally.
Since its introduction in 2017, their goal is to also become deflationary, and cut their supply by half.
They’ve also survived the crypto winter from 2018-2020, and they're also holding their own in this current crypto winter we’re experiencing now.
