I'm usually a straight through borla oval muffler guy, especially combined with a decent size resonator, but that flowmaster super hp2 sounded really damn good. It had the right tone and wasn't raspy. that dude needs to stop buying mufflers and get a new belt or tensioner though, because Id rather have stock exhaust than a squeaking ass belt.
That 2012 is about to go through what I am. Cam and lifter failure. There's also an exhaust manifold leak, but that's small cookies compared to the failure. Can't wait to have my BTR Truck Norris cam installed with new short headers and one of these exhaust systems.
Nice sounding trucks. I had a Solo Performance muffler on my 2014 HEMI Laramie. I heard a Carven and just had to have it. Like it so much, when I purchased a new HEMI Rebel in 2017, I had the dealership move the Carven to the Rebel, and put the OEM muffler on the 2014. I now have a 2024 Rebel GT with the HEMI (of course). It has the OEM Mopar performance exhaust on it. Sounds good so far. But, I will probably change to either the Carven, or AWE Cat Back system. Just have to wait until the wife isn’t paying attention to what I’m spending on it😂.
Hey. Did you put headers? If so can you tell me the sizes and brand name of your set up. I’m having a hard time putting these together. I wish I can just buy a whole brand name kit allready done to install instead of me shopping around for HRs looking for parts that fit
I agree... the Carven R - series sounded the best imo. Would it still sound as good with the resonators left intact? Maybe a touch quieter but still the same tonal quality? My 2nd fave was probably the hp2...
I took two Cherry Bomb m-80s welded together put that in place of the original muffler on my Hemi with the original tailpipe it sounds better than what you guys got try it sometime.
Exhaust Addicts: my 2017 Ram Crew cab drones like crazy after muffler replacement with MBRP. Added another resonator and still not great.....is this common with the crew cabs? Many reviews of the muffler don't mention drone at all....I'm puzzled.
All of these are so awesome to hear and I can only imagine how they actually sound being there. So if I may be so bold to ask with you doing this on a day to day basis if you had a 09-22 hemi what would you put on it? #1 #9 #3?Just curious.
My top 3 would probably be #2, #12, and #9... in that order... How do they compare price wise? I've got a white 2016 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Limited (yes, apparently it's a blend of all 3 trims... the console, door sills and tailgate all say Limited - and that's how it was advertised by dealer - but on the CarFax, based on the VIN it says it's a Laramie Longhorn, and while shopping for new insurance the agents system based on VIN came up as a Longhorn Limited... 🤷♂️ )
