My mother and I are cruising 9 days to Alaska at the end of June and celebrating her 82nd birthday on the cruise. I can’t wait. I hope the whales are as active on our trip as they are here!

Glad you enjoyed your Alaskan cruise. Usually Alaskan cruises are way more relaxed than Caribbean. Older crowds, less children and just more relaxed atmosphere.

❤ When i went to Alaska we went on a Glacier tour..They scooped up some ice from the water and made Margaretas with it..Plus everyone got to take a picture holding a Big Chunk of ice..So much fun..

Was that outside of Seward where the crew scooped up the ice for drinks? I did that daily when I was a crewmember on trips out of Seward. No place on earth like Alaska!😉👍

The waterfall was gorgeous, seems very quiet on this ship.. 🚢 that was spooky going through that narrow area near the glacier, gave me anxiety just watching 😬 the whales were so cool, the scenery was just indescribable. The food all looks delicious.

We were on the same cruise as you. We were so happy to see all the Whales. We were with our grandson. We missed the orange party and anything that happened after 7:30 or so. We were sleepyheads. So glad you posted these videos.

You definitely have a pod of Humpback whales, not Orca. We had a pod go by our ship last week, 1 whale kept breaching ( very special to see) and the flipper flapping. I never imagined we would see so many whales from our veranda, even a pod of Orca on our last day. They are fast, 35mph. Porpoise too. Great trip! Great video, Will.

Guys, that was a great video! The glassy water with snow capped mountains and sky reflecting in the water, the glacier. the whales. So enjoyable for us RU-vidrs too! We always enjoy seeing the food and what you're eating. You both looked smashing in your Tennessee orange! Thanks for all this great footage. I have a friend who is currently on a Caribbean cruise and is going to do two more cruises, all back-to-back. He'll be on cruises for two months! We'll be watching for your next video.

That was amazing! I loved when the shit went through the narrow area to get up in to the glacier. Looked like there wasn’t much room to spin around and come back out. Beautiful!

Those whales made my day. That was a whole pod of Humpback whales including the first whale you saw. The nose on the first one was bumpy from what I could see, not smooth like Orca.

Great to see whales when you aren’t looking for them! I think the jumping and fin-slapping are to stun small fish so they are easier to catch.

I was wondering how the culture is different on your Alaska Holland America cruise as compared to other cruises you've been on. When I went to Alaska on Princess Cruise, it was more formal than Holland America.. It was a bit more upscale. When I took a Carnival Cruise down in. Mexico, it was party all the time. Lots of fun! When I went on a Cruise out of England to Norway, it was a small ship. I was the only woman from the states. I was also the only woman with long hair. It was a very erudite cruise full of British pensioners. I made some friends for life on that cruise. I didn't make any lasting connections on my Alaskan cruises, and I've been on three with three different Cruise lines.
