I remember during this format the absolute pain Nephthys was to deal with. My locals was giddy when we found out you could Divine Wrath her in the graveyard.
Exiled force was the best answer to chaos monsters available. Zaborg was hard to set up back then. Rota was a very overlooked card back then. I took people over a year to catch on to its applications outside of Marauding Captain decks.
dude these decks are sick i remember when i played with these cards it was so much funn. yugioh is changing too much. i think it should go back to the old ways
@Murgftw WTF are you talking about? I have piles of OCG cards that never get use, so I decided to use them for these decks. I'm going to be sharing these decks with other people and I would rather cards that are not legal for use in the US to get additional playwear than cards that are. Also, netdecking? Really? Did you just watch the video with the sound off? Do you even realize that these are decks from 2005? Even in Traditional Format, Magician of Faith and Scapegoat are Limited.
i loved this format. these videos do make me feel i've been playing the game for too long though :( can't wait for the duels to see these decks get some screen time again. Could we get like late 06 next or are you working through them in chronological order?? Cause i would love to see some duels with demise OTK against the origional cyber dragon decks. I think sept 06 is the right format for those.
@Murgftw Um dude, what ARE you talking about? This game originated from Japan. Meaning we get all of our cards from there. So technically there's no such thing as "american cards". So it really shouldn't make a difference if he uses OCG or TCG printed cards in his showcase. They're all from Japan.
@Murgftw these are just for show, who gives if its in japanese... all these decks are irrelevant now but it doesnt matter keep up the good work DUBK!!!
I think with these segments...you should have fun and have one duel video with 2 decks from that format...and just for shits and giggles...have a duel against a deck from now...haha...
Why don't they like make a old school duel tournament like you can only use cards from 2005 and on back... or something... Idk I'm thinking about doing that if I can get enough people to play...
@Temporalsworn You realize that the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG wasn't released until several years after that, right? Even Pokemon wasn't out until the end of that year in Japan and a couple years later elsewhere. MTG was the game people were playing at the time. I didn't endorse the game; I only stated fact. There's no need for you to give yourself a heart condition over it.
@Temporalsworn I frankly don't care how you feel about me, considering the whole-stranger-on-the-internet thing, but you might want to tone it down if you want friends. There's a lot of overlap in the demographics. I'm not a fan of tabletop games like Warhammer 40k, but if I refused to be around them, I wouldn't have anywhere to play Yugioh. You get me?
bondlover1313 not even so much that as he still has several outs to thousand eyes, but I don’t understand why he ran the goats as he didn’t get much or at least a second book of moon. He lost out a lot on that but still won so maybe he was a great player but I also think that typically player mindsets were very different then compared to today’s format.
the top deck on the video looks just wrong, I mean if your not running 3 scapegoat and 2-3 metamorphisis you not playing goat control right. Also, why no Asura Priest, and why 2 e-con. His deck just looks wrong for calling it goat control.
@naterudolph like i had said earlier i hate magic the gathering so yes i would rather have a heart attack then play magic or hear about it being played. i dont hate u if u dont play magic if u do then everything i said is mean its not that big a deal but thats just so u know how i feell bout u
@naterudolph i dont care if you care about me and i wont lose friends just because i yell at sum random mofo in the internet just because i yell at you doesnt mean i yell at everybody so this little BS wont do anything also i can be around tabletop games but they arnt played on yugioh days at my locals
I quit playing yu gi oh shortly after the chaos cards came out, and then every thing went to shit when they starting banning everything, it just didnt seem fun anymore, way to many new dumb cards imo
