I basically build all my day 1 decks based on what legendary cards I get Open Evocation? Let's play Spell Mage Liadrin? Libram Paliden it is Etc etc Edit: So actually got Evocation and Liadrin lol. It turns out Spell Mage is really good against Demon Hunters

Sounds like a healthy way to go about it. I mean you don't want to splash a lot of dust on a deck that you don't know if it will be viable in two weeks. I keep doing it though.

Rowan exactly what I do as a F2P player. Making budget versions of decks revolving around legendaries allows me to play more decks and trying the new mechanics/ archetypes

4000 gold here, even with 2k i would craft a deck defining legendary just for fun. I crafted Goru day 1 last expansion and was hella of fun

Possible additional talking point: what‘s the weakness of a deck? / what to play against a specific deck? I think that could help people who feel they have to netdeck to compete with in the meta.

It's not easy. Usually I start by picking a class and seeing what decks I usually go up against. Like now you see Demon Hunter all the time which is basically a midrange but more aggro with a few powerful late game cards sprinkled in. You need something that can stop early board presence (i.e. board clears) and then decide on a win condition. Something consistent you can get most games.

Say regis, i had this in mind with the shaman weapon that summons legendaries, now with 1 cost spells you will allways summon relliquory of souls. Wish is pretty interesting since it was made for priest to buff

I'll follow his suggestion using a Reliquary Prime Shaman: since the Reliquary of Souls is the only 1 mana legendary in standard, casting a 1 mana spell while having the Fist of Ra-Den equipped it will always give you that minion

The problem with "Make your own deck" is that not everyone is going to dump enough money on the game to craft a bunch of decks and see which ones stick. I do enjoy the change on pack openings, but now I need to go back through other standard sets and buy additional packs so I can acquire all of the commons and rares.

I am looking forword playing highlander DH and have enough dust to craft everything but three legenderies (i have alex, zeph and altruis). So is it worth it to craft everything or should i wait a week or two for nerfs to come ?

the build your own decks is the perfect message that more players need to hear. I play this game for fun and its not fun most of the time because its against the same shit over and over it gets boring and i leave until expansion day 1 and 2 and then wait for the next because its the only fun time to play the game.

For the secret steal rogue, idk about it, it's weird that jalexander theory crafted it because he's been incredibly anti secret on stream and even made a Reddit post about how he doesn't think secrets will be viable because they are literally delayed tempo. I suppose it might work with the stealth package in there too, but I have my doubts

Has anyone else had problems unlocking demon hunter? I played the solo story and got the message I unlocked it. I can go into a custom deck and click it but all my cards say they are not released yet so I can only put generic cards in it. But then it won't let me even play it with the generic cards.

Tempo priest seems like a thing in the new expansion, with silence seemingly out of the meta for the most part. Dormant doesn't negate buffs so that's a plus too.

Honestly, Maiev is going to be the replacement for Zilliax, she doesn’t do the same thing as him sadly, but her effect is super powerful and it can give you an escape from powerful minions that you can’t out at the moment, I’m crafting a gold copy of her immediately

Can we get a video on how to play against the new priest play style besides conceding turn one to move on. I've been playing and plan to continue to play mage. Regardless It feels really slogged to play any minion as they have answers for going wide, tall, or just playing minions with board effects to be copied by flayer. Playing slow isn't a good strategy either due to Galakrond and them stealing your zephyrs or Alexstraza just to insane tempo you. I'm looking for more helpful insights as the ladder for platinum+ becomes difficult for me.

I am a super casual hearthstone player. I usually stop playing for 8-10 months at a time . And when I play I just maybe get a deck together and play a couple of ranked games. But mostly I just play Tavern brawl lol. But this update is really exciting. I want to actually play now. No Minion mage and obviously demon hunter look super cool to me so yeah good job blizzard

I’m in Australia and it’s the 7th of April now, so does anyone know what time it comes out? I know I have to wait for the 8th of April here in Australia because then it’ll be the 7th in the U.S but what time? I love expansion release days, it's possible to get wins with the worst deck using the random cards you pull (the worst legendary in the set)

My issue with deck building is that I just started Hearthstone again after not playing since release and I have.... almost none of the cards that most built decks require. So I have to use subpar cards and hope I can outplay my opponents. >.

Play galakrond warlock with zephyrys and two sac pacs and you will beat every demon hunter on ladder. The only cards rotating from the best list is zilliax, snip, and Godfrey so still pretty manageable to win most matchups. You’re welcome!
