One thing I like about Slot is he FINALLY gave Jota a run of starts. Klopp never really did (unless he kept scoring each match). How can a player feel valued as much as the rest of the squad that way? And benching Salah every now and then is a good sign too.

The reason? Jota has been injured for an average of 20 games per season since he joined the club. Great player but unfortunately cannot be relied on to be fit over an extended period.

I know arsenal have played some difficult teams, but the goals they have conceded against Southampton and Leicester were bad defending for apparently “the best” defence in the league. Even the first goal they conceded against city was poor defending, they’re not as solid as last season defensively which is surprising IMO
