I like the fact that defense is better but the spam steals is out of control. I understand if a dude has gold or hof glove but dudes be spamming with 53 steals rating the whole game. No one is attempting to play d anymore. Sorry just not realistic

There’s more to getting stripped, Stamina and even clamp breaker. To not get ripped consistently… you shouldn’t be tired (handles for days) and you have to break off the contact (clamp breaker) so the defense can’t have menace activate. Unpluckable & Handles for days on Gold with HOF Clamp breaker is what I run and I barely get stripped.
I'm seeing that people are saying that Glove and other defensive badges needs to be nerfed. It doesn't need to be nerfed. 2k needs to buff Unpluckable so it will actually be effective. Nerfing Defensive badges is going to create the repeat of 2k22 which will kill the game. It's definitely important to word the complaints correctly because 2k watches the complaints and nerf things that didn't needed to be nerfed in the first place.
Did you not watch the video? It very clearly proves that unpluckable is incredibly effective. 5x reduction in steal success with hof unpluckable how much better does it need to be?
It's not necessarily the badges that are the issue. It's the animations. Going for a steal can literally force the ball handler into an animation that makes them stop moving completely and lets you go for the steal attempt. The ball handler cant pass, shoot or even try to flop out of the animation. They are just frozen there for half a second and you either get the steal or get a reaching foul.
Glove. That's the one I prefer, but I think it's pretty balanced. I also don't go for a ton of plucks. With the adrenaline boosts taking a hit every time you try one it's good to be disciplined with them.
Yeah glove is the best if you’re defending. At 1:39 the ball handler does a behind the back and Wolfe is kinda facing the sideline in front.. Glove stops the behind the back animation and forces the ball answer to loose it. At 1:59 the ball handler might even be in L2 and Wolfe reaches from the left side around the ball handlers back to pluck it.
Great work, I think it’s honestly very well balanced and protecting the ball as a dribbler provides a skill gap just as much as playing great on ball defense.
Lmao there is no skill in spamming square and getting rewarded a steal. Even if you keep the ball on the other side of the defender they be stealing it too much.

Being able to rip someone and spamming x the whole possession is two diff things bro. The problem with steals was the fake ass animations with my ball in my left hand being stolen from a defender on the right i clearly see coming

This way if you have a low ball handle and low Unpluckable you’ll still get ripped and 99 steal will still be strong, while 92+ ball handle will be strong as well. Yall mfs think so one dimensional.

Who in the NBA can dunk through contact from the free throw line every play? Who in the NBA can get an ankle breaker every play from the same move? No one says this for offensive stats because it’s still a game at the end of the day.

I didn’t invest in unpluckable because you only have 3 dominate chances of stripping the ball handler. If you misuse your jumps and steals you’re thrown out the play already, if you didn’t you might get called for the foul. Yesterday I played a lineup with two locks, they were plucking me for sure but by the 4th quarter they both had 5 fouls and limited on their reaches 🤣. So just be mindful of your own playing style.
W, glove is still heavy handed. hope Gold and HOF are tuned down a little bit. doesn’t have to be completely wiped out, we still need our locks to be locks. but a slight down tune
this was pretty suprising to see, no lie. The way these guards have been complaining about it, LOL. I guess steal rating needed to get glove can also be considered though, since i'm sure the testing was done at the same attribute rating
So I've asked multiple big youtubers and no on seems to know for sure. So I'm asking the pros... GYM RAT. +4 to physicals or no. Some are saying yes. others are saying yes but its under the hood, you don't actually see the +4 on screen. Others say No its just unlimited gatorade boost. Considering this is build changing depending on what it actually does and we wont know legit for 5 weeks (as per the mission) we could really use a reliable answer to what the badge actually does. I'm on next gen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Unpluckable needs a major buff , no reason I should have a 89 ball handle and the badge on hold and vice grip on gold and still get plucked in 1 on 1 situations after 1 or 2 dribbles .
But glove is a tier 3 and unpluckable is only a tier 2 for regular size pg. Literally glove, clamp and interceptor are best guard defensive badges and they would have to make a choice to choose one of them on gold or hof unless your a perimeter lock build but who want to play that anyway
Unpluckable is useless when lockdowns can spam square every possession and get a steal. I feel this year the skill gap is the smallest it has been in a while, people just paint mash because paint defence sucks and spam square on defence because steals are broken and animation based.
Yeah this is just wrong bro. This year has one of the biggest skill gaps since 18. I agree that steals are little strong but they don’t need a big nerf. If anything just buff Unpluckable. Paint defense also doesn’t suck I don’t know why so many people are saying this.

This is LITERALLY how last year started. Steals were amazing to start. Everybody complained cuz they can't dribble everywhere then steals were nerfed MULTIPLE times to only be damn near nonexistent by end of game

it isnt if you have hof unpluckable. if a player who specializes in steals tries to steal it from a player who doesnt have unpluckable. they should get stolen. why would you make a build which cant protect the ball well? that is kind of your own fault. and if someone has hof unpluckable, its usually not a steal and more often a foul
I have feeling they’re going to nerf a couple defensive badges along with glove, like Anchor. I don’t mind how the badges are working, makes you play different and actually play team ball, can’t force up shots and try to cross a defender every play.
im not going to lie this has to be for next gen only because the steal rate is so high i cannot play stage and no i dont left right left right i use a 6'3 all around builf with hof unpluckable i get graded almost every game in stage. its almost unplayable as a guard and i have clips to backup my claims im telling you if steals dont get a nerf ON CURRENT GEN the game is going to die out
Can you guys test rebound chaser and anchor? Those are build changing for bigs and I don’t know if I should go gold or HOF. At the very least the intimidator part of anchor should be simple to test.
Pick pocket was 🍑 after the nerf last year. I don’t have any steal rating or ball handling on my current build, but especially looking at this chart gold and HoF glove is OP.

Wait so bronze glove against a player with no unpluckable is only 10%? What is the steal success rate overall? What is ball handle steal success rate because it has to be higher than 10% in some circumstances. Great vid tho
pgs should have at at gold unpluck so the chances are honestly on the lower side of normal, most people just run into defenders or dribble to where the defender can read their dribble patterns and just the 2k physics and animations just get you caught up in a terrible situation.
I might be the most unlucky bastard in this game then cause one game I had gold unpluckable and got ripped in the backcourt 6 times in pro am. Next game I added gold clamp breaker and same shit happened. I literally had to ask my friend to stay back there with me and play hot potato because if one person tried to bring it up they would just lose the ball
Bro with gold unpluckable not dribbling into defenders i got ripped 10 times in 1 rec game. And before you say pass no one on my team else on my team had unpluckable so they were getting ripped even quicker
No bro, being able to tap X one time and get a stop and free points off of it is very unrealistic and unskilled. You will have to try your hardest to get a block in this game just for it to go out of bounds and the every time or they just get a rebound and get a free bucket. But a steal on the other hand requires to thought process this 2k and will lead to countless stop and free points while making the offense play completely different. All that just from a press of a button is just flat out op
@@cameronfrizzell3978 I’m the defender on our team and I’m excited about Glove. But I play/ live in Europe and all teams do is play zone. This could become a huge problem. You can’t pass well on zone, now HOF Glove is going to destroy ball handlers.

Tutes idk. The other day I got plucked 3 CS in a park game with a dude who had 53 steal rating n I had silver unpluckable. Steals have been insane. N dudes spamming steal the whole game
I’m a lock and think the balance is good. If a pointguard isn’t running unpluckable and tries to cross over and break me I should be able to steal it. I’m starting to see PGs pass way the ball quicker when I’m defending them which is making it a more team oriented game. You can’t just have the pg iso and have every sit on the three

I’m 6’9 with unpluckable on gold on the 1v1 court on locks get me frfr I’m cool with defense working because it works both ways just saying you can get the ball back just as easily as it gets taken
exactly. dudes don’t realize that when all of your points go into defending, you’re mediocre everywhere else. unlike the Demi god builds that can do everything on O and have the steal or perimeter D on top of that.
People that want glove nerfed don’t protect the ball and act like they are an iso dribble god that dribbles into defenders. I hope they keep gold and HOF glove where it’s at, last year is wasn’t anything that negated unpluckable now it forces people to pass the ball sometimes
Unpluckable shouldn’t even be a badge.. every other badge in the game helps you do things that you couldn’t do as effectively without it giving an advantage in that category over an average nba player, unpluckable just reduces a negative that makes you a normal nba point guard.. Glove helps you steal the ball a lot more, rebound chaser helps you get rebounds better, limitless range helps you pull from deep, unpluckable helps you… reduce the chances of a defender “press square to receive the ball” card??
Unpluckable does not work. At all. I have it on gold and I still get ripped by even non defensive builds. And these aren’t calculated steals these are just from people spamming. Steals are definitely an issue. No disrespect to your tests but unpluckable just doesn’t work at all. And this is from personal experience. Unpluckable needs a buff.
Its not balanced at all. Im playing rec with gold unpluckable and these locks are literally just pressing x behind me and getting the most ridiculous steals. They just take it whenever they want. Gold unpluckable is useless against hof glove in rec
