I love all your posts! I just have one suggestion: since not every snack at WDW is "snack credit", why not place the snack credit symbol at the corner of the screen? That way you don't have to say all the time "this is snack credit, this is not snack credit". And it would be a great help for those who are having DDP on their trips.
Perfect timing DFB! I leave for Disney tomorrow and I'll be there all week and I'm definitely more of a savory snacker. I was worried about all the sweets making me sick but this video gives me hope!
Yeah I started watching these about three yrs ago and finally in September will be going to DW for the first time. I’ve been dreaming of Disney food for the last several yrs through these types of posts. 😁
Thanks AJ I am a diabetic and there is lots of temptation at the parks for sweets , nice to see something on here for us people that can't eat much sweets .
The second floor outdoor balcony at Pinnochio Village Haus is a great spot to take in Fantasyland magic, people watch, get some rear shots of the castle, and still be away from the crowds. Add a flat bread or some chicken fingers, and you're good to go!
The beer cheese on the Brisquit Poutine is the best. And for nachos, check out the Buffalo Chicken Nachos in Animal Kingdom. They are served on kettle chips and are really good.
You’ve mentioned Polite Pig in several of your videos, and now I know where I’m going to eat on arrival day in a few weeks! Thanks again for the recommendation!
Can you please do a video where you introduce us to the rest of the DFB crew? You always say “we” and I always want to know who that is. If you could do that it would be great!🍦🍩🍪🧁🍭🍰🍿🍫🥨
Omg, this is perfect! I am setting up disney world in my backyard in the summer for some kids that I babysit and some of my friend, and I was having trouble coming up with some savory snacks to make! I'll try to recreate some of these.
I love these vids so much! This one made me so hungry! Just thinking to mention that a few times when your narration got a little quiet during a cute ramble, the music sort of overpowered your voice and I had a hard time hearing what you were saying about the food. I hope that this feedback could help. Your guys' vids are great! I love Disney and these squelch my desire to go just enough to wait hehe. ♡
HeyAJ, Love your vlogs, they're are so informative and useful. I was wondering which snacks are covered under Disney Snack credits. I know there are some that are mentioned in the vlog. Possibly this could be marked out on the website or PDF with the symbol so it can be seen at first glance? Thanks AJ for all your hard work. Keep it up for people who like me who can't wait for their first visit!
I did some research, this is a list of items that she listed that (I'm pretty sure) are acceptable for a snack credit: Baked Mac and Cheese - Animal Kingdom Eight spoon Cafe Mr. Kamal’s - Animal Kingdom Popcorn Cart - Epcot close to Journey into Imagination Poutine - Refreshment Port - Epcot, Canada Totchos - Woodies Lunch Box, Hollywood Studios Tot Bowls - Friar's Nook - Magic Kingdom Baby Ribs - Morimoto Asian Street Food - Disney Springs Loaded Fries - Flame Tree BBQ - Animal Kingdom Then these are the things that I am again pretty sure can only be used for a meal or quick service meal credit: Nachos - La Cantina de San Angel - Epcot Pizza Ponte - Disney Springs NOTE: From what I saw most of the time when I checked, these are acceptable with the Dining Plan, Deluxe Dining Plan, and Quick Service Dining Plan, if you have something different, I'm not sure about that.
Amazing! Thank you so much! I’m going to preform at Disney next year and vacation for a few days while we’re down there so thank you for all these videos and help, it seriously helps to plan out how to save, and find what I want easiest.
Thank you for this video! I'm so excited to try chicken guy and the buffalo sauce! I did however want to mention that throughout a lot of this video it was very hard to hear what you were saying because the music was turned up so loud 😕
@ellamarieeway if you ever have trouble hearing for whatever reason on RU-vid, whether it’s because of low audio, bad audio quality, or loud music, I suggest that when available(since it isn’t always an option) use captions/subtitles. I always use them Incase something happens, like I’m in a too noisy environment or just can’t hear or understand what the person is saying. Hope this tip helps!
I consider a snack to be something you eat in between meals though a lot of these items are meals in themselves. Saying that, however, I still enjoyed looking at lunch options on this video!
Im a big fan of your videos and they've been helping me get ready for my first trip to WDW but after digging through your videos going back quite some time i was disappointed to not find any videos on special diet items at Disney. My planner has told us Disney has plenty of options for those family member with specials dietary needs and i was hoping you might do a video on this in the future. the vegan/glutenfree/sugarfree/and diabetic friendly foods Disney has to offer it's guests. I8 think it would be a great topic for a video that would benefit not only my family but others as well. thanks for keeping us updated on all the good eats in the park.
I had that Spicy Chicken Waffle, it was good but the slaw actually didn't cut down the spice very well, I suggest getting a ice drink like a slush or ice water.
Kim J that’s on my food list to try. I’m glad you mentioned the spice and getting a slushy drink with it. Now if they sell the adult version of the slushy I’m all about trying both of those things. 😁
May I ask a favor? Do you think you can help those of us who are Diabetic? I am sure I am not the only one who would really appreciate some Diabetic friendly snacks.
I’m going in May, I haven’t been since I was seven which was 2005 I can’t wait. I’m gonna be so fat by the end of that trip with all this delicious food.
Could you do a gluten free version of this please? These all look incredible and I'm so craving mac and cheese and topped fries now but I could eat barely anything on the list😭
Can you do a video on all the chefs that have places in Disney world. Or other food and drink famous people.... I'm a food network fan and huge foodie, and the second you mentioned some of those names I started geeking out and would really love a video that tells me all the places I should go.
My husband loves cheese popcorn (he's not a sweet tooth like me) and tried the cheddar popcorn at the EPCOT kiosk and he found it awful. He ended up throwing it out and getting a refill of the plain salted kind. Great list! Wish I was at Disney right now to try some of these! "Plastic Cheese" is a family favorite. Basically, if you put cheese on anything savory my sons will eat it!
Thanks for covering the tots at friars nook. Really the Mac n cheese fries at Casey's corner are great and cheaper but uggggh I will have to try friars nook it looks soooooooo good
Sort’ve a weird niche, but for those of you who can’t handle the really sweet snacks but still want sweets: most desserts from Norway work, almost all desserts and lots of candy/sweets from Japan work, churros are typically fine since all the plain fried bread and cinnamon cuts the sugar, and SOME fruit desserts work. Mango is generally pretty promising since it’s mild and tart, strawberry is hit or miss, blueberry is usually fake and too sweet, banana is asking for it (though delicious with cinnamon involved), apple is usually a-okay, orange is usually fake and sweet, pineapple is more refreshing, and grapefruit is almost always fine. The desserts/drinks in China are pretty good, but be careful of the bubble tea. (I haven’t had Disney’s blend yet personally; but if the tea taste is fairly prominent it would work. The tapioca balls have no flavor and are generally sweet, but it works if the tea is strong enough.) The cream cheese pretzel usually works. Dole whips and citrus swirls! Almost everything from France is a rich death trap, though I will point out the lemon-raspberry macaroon for being mostly fine. Cakes... nope. My personal favorite is the rice cream from Norway, the berry cream puff (it LOOKS like it would be too sweet but because the berries take over the cream entirely it is DIVINE for berry lovers! It’s also homemade whipped cream instead of sweet pastry cream) from Norway, and the cherry kaki gori from Japan. Sweet, but not too much. Is anyone else in this camp? Cause I want to know what other people find 😂
I was hoping to get the poutine with the cheese sauce tomorrow so I am sad it is gone, but I can vouch for the ribs at Morimoto Asia (I was full at 3 but that didn’t stop me from finishing all 6 because of how delicious these were). The buri bop is delicious but sweet (buri sauce is sweet). The Korean dish Bibimbap is spicy and I think a bit more popular so a member of my party got confused and ordered it expecting spicy so heads up. Do get a reservation. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d need one but everyone without a reservation was politely told to take a hike while we were sat right away. Stay clear of the shrimp tempura roll, it is pretty terrible. But all other rolls are incredibly tasty and those mushroom fries with the spicy sauce YUM! (mind you that without the sauce they are sort of bland but the sauce makes them come alive). The chicken tostada was good but a bit pricey considering the size of it. The white melted cheese in Mexico is tasty but if you get a choice to have it put on or served on the side get it on the side. It is waaaaaay too salty (but still delicious though) so it works best when you can control how much cheese goes on the chips.
I'm so hungry now!! My wife tried the Flavored Popcorn At Epcot in Aug 2017, after I told her how great it was from an earlier DFB video. She wasn't impressed and told me it was almost stale. Perhaps we caught it on a bad day.
Every time I go to Disney World, my family-2 parents, one younger sibling, 2 aunts, and a grandma-would always get something sweet and by the end of the trip, I’d be sick of sweets and try to eat as much salty foods that I can. Then I’d go eat ice cream the day after I get home
We were at WDW last week. The spring rolls in Adventureland are no longer snack credits on the Dining Plan - $7.50 for 2 rolls. Also the cookies and cream funnel cake outside the American Adventure in EPCOT is no longer a snack credit, but the one at Oasis Canteen at the Studios still is ...
I’m getting married in September and we are taking our honeymoon at Disney World. I have no idea what I’m doing lol can someone give me trip planning tips?
Basically,if your more of a staying in the resort person then just make sure you have something to do in the resort. If your a food person, when you get into the park try to find the food places or you’ll be lost. If your eating a meal then make reservations at the restaurants. Now,if your a ride person make sure you get fast pass. Its free! Reply to me if you want to ask questions. (I’ve been to Disney 3 times before)
Literally, the only snack o wanted at Epcot was the cheddar cheese soup poutine. I banked on this, I got there on December... it wasn’t there 😫 I may have shed a tear. I came all the way from Alaska.
When I was at Disney this fall I got poutine for the first time because of you recommendation. Ick, definitely not my thing. The curds are such a weird texture. lol
We thought that sleepy hollow waffle was a miss- too spicy, yucky slaw, too soggy. The fries at Animal Kingdom were AMAZING. I’m not a huge plastic cheese person, i’m not a big fry person, i’m not even a big pulled pork person, but I tried a bite of my husband’s fries and never gave them back. I didn’t touch the rest of my food.
Awesome videos, I'm planning a trip with my 12 month old baby girl. I was wondering is there any healthier options? It will be great if you can make a video for people who like veggies and have a kiddo who don't eat sugar/fried food yet. Thanks and looking for new videos!!!!
For those of us who are not familiar with the layout of Disney, it would be helpful if you had a map with a flag when you start to talk about each place. I get frustrated that the places tend to ping back and forth around all the parks. Trying to navigate DW is hard enough and adding a little logic, order, or visual with each location would be very helpful.
