I have the same concern for flying my expensive DJI drones and crashing or losing them. Especially after parking one high up in an oak tree. I love the bird's eyeview perspective in the backcountry but I'm super cautious about where I fly my DJIs and the weather conditions (wind and visibility primarily) I launch them in. This Hover Air X1 is far smaller and "packable" than my DJIs and way less expensive. Sounds like it's super user friendly. Good review of this aerial camera platform! Thanks for doing the research so I don't have to! 😁😉
Thanks. I've come close to buying several different DJIs, but just couldn't pull the trigger. Maybe some day, depends on how well this X1 serves me... if it makes me hungry for more. My typical pattern... it took me years to get a VHS player... haha. Not an early adopter.
Nice review. The price has gone up on Amazon, but it is a super nice UL drone that takes very little to get it up and taking some nice footage on trail.
