Thanks for the great video. The Bledsoe put-back dunk was my favorite! Usually, the smaller the guy; the more impressive the dunk. Nothing against D. Jordan, in the least bit, but he has a 9'5.5" standing reach. (half inch smaller than Shaq's) That fact puts some of his dunks in context.
It's a damn shame DeAndre Jordan has to have all his dunks ruined with "the lob, the jam" every single time he throws it down. I especially love the ones when he's late in saying it, and screams it really fast post-dunk just to make sure he didn't miss out on annoying everyone listening to him.
Your telling me if you were in the nba and made a bad ass dunk you wouldn't act hard please dude the energy from the crowd fuels it subconsciously come on now
The only reason is can happen is because fouls exist. If they really wanted to, the "extremely tall" players could just take the dunkers out. But there is that other factor. Nothing to do with toughness. Only finesse.

Why do people like dunks so much when three-pointers are worth more, and don't they require more skill because you actually have to aim? Whereas dunks are just putting the ball that's in your hand in the hoop as you jump? I also don't get why people lose their shit when someone dunks, because people are dunking all through out the game. I know I sound naive and stupid to a point where it sounds like I'm flaming, but i'm just curious because I never got into Basketball.
It's more about athleticism than preciseness. You won't need to be precise with aiming if you're athletic and can take it to the rim the whole time. Blake griffin for example could score 20+ going to the rim the whole time. It's harder to score that much from the 3 all day unless you're of course someone like Steph, Curry, Kyrie Irving etc.
