Absolutely amazing! The overhead drone shot was some of the best ever foiling footage! Can really get a sense of the speed and g-forces in those carves. Inspiring stuff
You generally prefer to ride with the long fuselage "short" than the small ones like xxs or xs, why? Isn't it better for surfing to have a smaller fuselage?
Yeh longer fuses are way better in pitch control. That’s why I like them. To get the surfy feel I just ride a tiny stab. So you get the pitch control from the long fuse, but the turning from the tiny tail 🤙🏼
what is the difference between breaching the wings on the face of the wave you are carving vs the back of a wave? Like how does the foil react differently when u breach out the back of a wave
What's the difference between the turns where you are medium on the mast versus high on the mast. Are the medium mast turns more of a wrapping turn and the high on mast turns the ones where you want the wind tips to breach for a more radical turn?
I’m not intentionally riding high or low, it just depends how you enter and exit a turn and how steep the wave face is. Generally, wing tip breaches are because you’re more leant over (more critical) in a turn. Everything is moving so fast though. The beauty of a wing that breaches is not having to worry about how high or low your flying 🤙🏼
0:42 love that move, i notice ur high on the mast to get the wingtip out the back of the wave. Is the foil basically stalling out at the time the board is rotating quickly
It’s all happening so fast but the foil is breaching out the back of the wave and then re-entering the water so there is a moment where it slips and you just have to trust that it will grab again and re-produce lift which it does in this instance 🤙🏼
@@misterbennettsso the rail grab is not just for style, it's to avoid taco right? What if you did the same move on your backside. What would the equivalent rail grab move for your hand to be to prevent taco? I saw a clip of someone doing a backside turn and they tacoed onto their foil and I want to know how I can prevent this while still doing a critical backside re-entry.
@@misterbennettsJust checking if chopped 200 is still a good setup? I haven't chopped mine yet I was waiting to improve a bit first but with the new longer monoblock stabs you use is it better to wait for them to come out eg what's the best f one fuse/stab setup for prone and does the chopped c200 on a short fuse still cut it? Cheers
