I just have to comment again now that I finished it in full. 100% the plain slim might be better with those extra couple inches. I did 3-4 weeks of embarrassingly deep research before I bought this one and as a fellow nerd.. it’s truly almost perfect. Take care man.
DUUUDE. John! I had no idea you had a channel like this! Found you literally looking at bag reviews. I’ve had the slim jr for 2 years and absolutely love it, minus the 1” square pad in the laptop area. I find when the bag is packed, the laptop will slip right down the crack and hit the bottom.. it’s mostly ineffective. Wish it was more of a suspended design. It has been slightly small on a few occasions, thus I have the OG slim black in the cart right now at the heavily discounted price. BUT.. I’m torn between that and the Solgaard Endeavor (now Venture) for more of a single bag solution. Any experience with those?! So great seeing ya doing this brother. Hope you’re so well. Great video - I just received my backpack and believe it will work well for international travel which restricts under seat bags to this size as worst case for airlines. I believe that's why they made this backpack so small and narrow to meet the maximum dimensions allowed because the other larger packs would not be allowed in every case. One question - I thought they don't allow travel on airlines with leathermans? I have one, but never take it with me due to this concern. Are you able to travel with yours? Thanks!
Thanks for your comment! I don't travel with my full size leatherman (unless I check it). For my carry on I have a Leatherman Style PS which doesn't have a blade other than small scissors so it's TSA approved. That said, I get a bag search basically every time I have it and they confiscated it in Canada once. Safe travels!

Great review! That's the JR backpack, it's meant for petite travelers. Thus, comes in 3 SIZES!!! 😂 This JR backpack is almost like a purse backpack for shorter women.🎒😁
@John Scott I know you did this review a while ago but I have a question. I just bought this backpack and it’s pretty stiff. Does it soften up after sometime? I’m thinking of returning it because of this.
