Her arrangement of Over The Rainbow was started while she was still a high school student. Many thanks for including her in your video. BTW Some might think that her work with Chuck Brown placed her in a different category than Ms Carpenter.
That is why Mariah is one of my #1 vocalists because she seamlessly transitions from power ballads, pop, dance, r&b, gospel and hip hop unlike some of the other artists you have up there. Except Whitney Houston who did all of those as well. If you are a vocalist who still can make me dance my shoes off, then the next song make me cry, then you got me. Teena Marie, Chaka, Beyonce, Patti, Diana, Lady Gaga are all of those things.
I’m with you on the Three Degrees. Their track “Maybe” is just superb. My partner recently got a 4 record live album by Eva Cassidy. Just wow! Great video. Look forward to your top ten male vocalists! 👍
Greetings from audiophile London! On the subject of the Three Degrees, did you know that it's (still) strongly rumoured that a younger Prince Charles (ie our present King, aka Charles iii), had a fling with Sheila Fergusson in the 1970s? The lucky bastard! Keep up the great work! Adrian in London, England.
