Best Filters for 2ft Aquarium  

If you have the budget then Canister filter is the one to go with, but if it is 2 ft tank then Hang on back filters are the best. I would also recommend an additional sponge filter to go with it. If you don’t want HOB then you can have multiple sponge filters but it would require very strict water changes and maintaining the water conditions well. For a 2ft tank (around 60 Litres), I would never recommend power head filter (internal filter) or top filter with a power head because it would create too much force. If you have big tank then it might be okay but not for a 2ft tank. They have small sponge (internal filters not top filters) & takes debris very fast, but it is insufficient & inefficient. If you want power head filters only then I would recommend the one that comes with additional pipe with holes which reduces the flow rate & rather drops the water from the top of tank from those holes.
