BEST FLIGHT ATTENDANT UNIFORM IN ASIA | Hainan, Japan, AirAsia, MIAT or Malaysia???

Hi Andy. Great to see another uniform review. Thanks for all the time you put into researching these topics. So without further ado, my views are. Air Asia. Like you, I’m not a huge fan of so much red but as you say, it is in keeping with the company’s corporate colours. It’s very much a young design rather than a more formal business style but I guess that aligns with their corporate image and public appeal. I noted a couple of crew with long hair which I am always surprised to see because of smoke hood requirements. Also as food handlers, it’s inappropriate. Overall not very inspiring. Hainan Airlines. This definitely falls into the Couture category and a shout out to the designer for thinking outside the box when putting this collection together. It just oozes style and sophistication. I don’t think pants or a skirt/blouse option would work as I think it would dilute the uniformity that the current pieces portray. But I do agree with your view about having choices. MIAT. This one took me by surprise. I really like this uniform. A really elegant uniform with great tailoring and attention to detail, which really pays off. Like you, I love the colour. I also agree that a bit more could have been done with the mens design. JAL. In a word….NO. Way too much black and the small details of red do little or nothing to redeem this uniform from the bottom of my list. I must be honest, the airline’s livery is pretty unimpressive, as is the uniform. Malaysia airlines. This is a very eye catching uniform but I agree with your comments about the mens suit and reference to the new ground handling uniform. Imagine working in that long skirt and what about in an emergency? You compared it to Singapore airlines uniform. The SIA uniform was designed by Pierre Cardin back in 1974 and still remains. So Hainan and MIAT get my top votes. A final note. Check out Riyadh Air’s uniform which was unveiled a few weeks ago. It’s definitely a couture range, stunning. The airline launches next year.
