Just bought one and was confused by the instructions on paper so found this video useful. Used the machine straight after with no problems - good little mower actually with very little mess and easy to empty.
Thanks for the very kind message Ben - really glad this helps - I was confused too! Our knob on the side of the handle fell off and we couldn't find it - don't know what happened there but it was a pricey replacement, so hope yours are on tighter than ours!
Thanks for this. I bought one and put the 3 spacers on I had to empty the box every 5 minutes. I can see that it could be used for easy grass cutting with no spacers or box.
I have just brought one of these, but I find I have to lift it over gravel or concrete, paths, otherwise the bottom scapes along, so now put into a wheelbarrow, to move it!! Bit heavy for me to lift,so if you are a female nearly 80 year old, be warned!!

I didn't know about this model which is a shame and last June 2021 I bought a Flymo Vac 270 from a big store and just managed to assemble it, as I can no longer push my heavy petrol mower around due to health issues. I'm uncertain how to actually use the lock off button and those twin handles and also the instructions do say to walk it in lines across the grass. You didn't seem to be doing that so a bit confused here! I'm 70 and haven't ever used an electric mower before. I'm still to christen mine. My garden is long and narrow around 120 foot long and 15 foot wide, and almost all is lawn, so Im hoping my model 270 will cope nicely and effortlesly with it. A few months on and this model feels pretty heavy too - there's an even lighter one which would probably be even better for you - the Flymo Turbo Lite There's a link here (paid link) amzn.to/3NfhNPJ The button takes getting used to - I'm sure you've tried this but push down the button with one hand and grip the handles with the other, then you can let the button go and just keep gripping the twin handles. If you let go, just press the button again and grip the twin handles again... And I"m not the best expert but life's too short to be mowing in straight lines, so I just move it around the easiest for me! Hope this helps and good luck with your lawn this summer!
That was just what I needed after buying this flymo from Bunnings in Sydney. Great clear vision - the instructions on paper were very difficult to follow. Would have been good to see how to adjust the spacers on the video, but overall it was brilliant. Many thanks.

If you buy something new and it is damaged - *don't use it* - return it as soon as possible (email immediately with photo stating it was already damaged and you are not accepting it because it is faulty) and ask for your money back or one that is not damaged.
Thanks for asking - and hope this reply isn't too late. No, it literally stopped working a couple of weeks ago. No idea what we did but the blade seemed to jam. I wonder if a stone had got up into the mechanism. We're on with the HoverVac now, and I'm preferring the smaller/lighter models. Hope this helps

Hi Tony - sorry to hear about this Our flymo with the grass catcher also got clogged up too With the handles - I'm sure youv'e tried this, but have you tried tightening the knobs on the side as tight as they can go? Good luck and hope this helps
Congrats on the Youble tubes algorithm putting you at the 'Top'. Just a question. How the fek does one get the bloomin' blade off to stick those 'Spacers' in? Where do you get any leverage? Just whacking the spanner on the nut and trying to get anything loosening isn't working so well for a *Cough* 'Mature aged' person such as m'self. Love to know how you moight have managed it. Cheers.

@@DADDELIVERS Oh the orange, plastic spanner seems quite tough. A good old whacking time was had first loosening the thing up and then (After much uhmming and ahhing about HOW many psacers to put inder there) banging it all back on again. Much cheers and thanks. Im 70 and today just added the spare spacers to my flymo vac 270. It took the plastic wrench thing to move the bkade nut in an anti clockwise action, with one hand, whilst holding the fan with the other. So, if I can do it after reading the instructions I'm sure you can too without hitting it with a hammer, as men are stronger than us 5ft nothing old age pensioners! lol 😉 good luck hon xx
Just got the 360 but it doesn't hover very well at all, my old fly was so much better, not sure if it is a defect or just the way it is but it is very disappointing. If it is not a defect then it needs a much bigger fan, it does work but it is a lead brick. Also the air intake is too low and keeps blocking, the designer belongs in Gulag for a MONTH. I really wanted to but British, but this isn't good.

Chopped bits of grass tend to get sucked into the orange cowling through the rear vertical air slots. Once inside the cowling, the grass can't easily escape and so accumulates over time. Is there an easy way to remove the orange cowling for periodic removal of trapped dried grass clippings?
Great question thanks - I've not opened or tried to open it up. Whenever grass builds up on the grille, I've just sometimes brush it off but not gone inside. Sorry I can't be of more help!
I've contacted the local Flymo agent and they said they will get back to me. The rear vertical air slots are quite large enough to let in chopped blades of grass. The problem is the plastic lattice (much, much finer than the intake slots) stops the grass from exiting via the impeller. Over time, the amount of trapped (dried) grass builds up. This grass (if not removed) will clog off the air supply to the impeller and may also cause the motor to overheat.
@@DADDELIVERS I notified Husqvarna New Zealand of the issue and asked for how to remove accumulated dried grass from inside the orange cowl. They told me they would ask upstairs, but that it would take a while to get a response. That was a week ago. This could take a while. If I don't hear back from them by December, I will contact Husqvarna directly (although they may deflect me back to "my local Husqvarna agent"). We shall see.

You can denigrate the noise the gas mowers make,but these electric models are toys compared to the gas versions. It is not practical for most people to deal with the hassle and shortcomings of being tethered to a power cord,many of us have larger yards or mow in areas where there isn’t ready access to plugs. The electric mowers also don’t have the power the gas ones do and the motors fail after a year or two. I have a 1964 Toro flymo and it’s still working. 2cycle tecumseh motor. It also looks a heck of a lot more futuristic than this modern thing
I don’t understand the irrational fear of having a metal blade underneath,and there certainly isn’t any advantage to having a plastic blade. All lawn mowers since the beginning have had metal blades. Metal is much more durable. It cuts better and holds its keen longer. Plastic cuts worse,wears down quickly and the blades crack and break. The 1964 Toro Flymo has a large metal blade like a normal mower. The air fan is made of nylon and is smaller allowing the blades to cut much better. It says something g about the quality of these new items that the air impeller is cracked right of of the box.
I will not be subscribing to your really poor video, firstly you should have read the manual, you have miss some parts of the assembly process out, secondly you definitely should not tip your mower on its side and start the mower....even for our benefit.
