+Sharon Su unnoticed*....big difference, and definitely isn't. a band that gets 32 million views in a music clip isn't unnoticed. i could give you excellent bands that you never heard of.
This is definitely the song that feels the most like their first album. It kind of has a Justice sound mixed in there too. This whole album was worth the wait.
I have no idea why i like Foster the people, they seem too much like mindless pop to me but whenever i hear songs like this, dont stop, pumped up kicks, call it what you want, and Houdini i cant help but find my self enjoying it tremendously. I mainly listen to rock and hip hop making people very confused when i tell them that i like almost all of this groups singles.
I just heard this on the radio this morning! One good song after the other, I knew it was going to be a great day! Lovin' all these new feel good songs.
The genius of Foster People lies in recording upbeat, cheerful songs about heroin addiction and school shootings. Irony in the Age of Aderoll, I suppose.
If you have a friend struggling with addiction it’s so important to try and be there for them, even the small gestures help. Let them know they’re not alone. Because when someone is struggling with addiction they feel like shit.
I really think this song needs to be like one of the hits for summer this year. I can just picture this song being used for so many things on tv like PUK was!
Its realy sad for me to hear FTP fans say Supermodel was a disappointment, however its kinda funny at the same time because I know most of them like at least 7 or 8 of the songs lol. Same with Torches. I would do anything for you and warrant were just as mediocre as fire escape and goats in trees. Maybe FTP will nail it 10/10 with his next album. But a 9.5/10 on his first and a solid 9/10 in my book on his second i cant think of a better artist anyway
I dont think its a disappointment, it has its good songs, its great songs and then its bad songs like every album has, i would give this album an 8, ahead of Torches at a 7. Im sure there next album will be great too. And btw, your really good at that cup thing you do on your channel. (dont know what its officially called, sorry)
The weird thing is that I think Supermodel finished off pretty well with the last three songs lol. :P Of course its just my opinion but to each their own, right? :D
Fire Escape and Goats in Trees are both favourites for me and I think they contrast Beginners Guide for Destroying the Moon pretty well as well as end the album in a (what feels to me) natural way
As a newbie, I am so greatful to find this group at a time when I really need a mellow upbeat message about the truth. Rah Rah ! Hope to see them live and get lost dancing in the crowd 💞💃💕
I love Torches, all the songs were awesome, Supermodel has a few disappointing songs, but the quality of the rest make up for that, so in my opinion this album is a great one, and will be one that will be remembered years down the road.
My favorite part about this song is its success in capturing the raw and harsh reality of having a close friend with a severe drug addiction. In Mark's voice and the strategic chorus to verse beat and vocals, the whole intense ride with its ups and downs (notice how "It comes in waves, but it's hardest from the start" transitions into "feelings sleepin in the field again" and so on. If you pay close attention as well, the wild trumpetous sounds seem to sound sadder and angrier as the song comes closer to the end. This is genius.
