Prior to SB19 and prior to the rise of Kpop, there's this girl group called Sexbomb. They started as a dance group and eventually branched out to singing as well. They actually became one of the best selling groups in Asia. Their genre fall under ppop but the lyrics of their songs are mostly on the novelty side, so it's kinda comedic. Some other groups tried thereafter, some even copied the kpop concepts but eventually failed. SB19 is the only group which succeeded and paved the way for Ppop to be known locally and internationally. No other group comes close. So when they try to refute this argument, it's just pure bullshit.
