Thanks for doing this video! I love your Top 5 Friday videos, and genuinely miss them when you don’t upload them. Keep them coming please. Best of luck with The Game Chasers Movie! Take care!
How could people NOT like Top 5 Friday ?! Midway through the work week I start singing the theme song to myself while I'm working at the steel mill and hoping that there will be a new Top 5 coming in a few days . No joke .
I thought Flintstones would have been #1...especially at the $5 you paid for it....and the fact that you found it randomly in the wild, whereas yes, you did also find the first Samson in the wild as well....but I thought Dino Peak would have been #1!
Hi Billy! My brother introduced me to this show and I’ve been watching for years now. Absolutely love all the content you guys gave us through the years. It even made me and my brother hang out more, like when we were kids, for that I thank you guys! Now you’re making a movie and at this point “I knew, I had to have it.” I would love to help out and pledge on Kickstarter. The thing is, I don’t own a credit card. Is there any other way to pledge (get the Blu-ray) without it? Hope to hear from you! Keep up the good work!
Glad to have witnessed and been slightly a part of that Twitter because I love the Top 5 videos. Definitely agree with the Top 5 Games I Need to Beat video, even the Top 5 "Beat Beat Beat It" video you said lmao. Thanks Billy for the video, great picks!
@@linkmaster6486 I wasn't saying you were but when people talk about the Little Samson and Dino Peak finds its generally focused around the fact that they found a game(s) that are worth hundreds of dollars for around $5. Were you saying that in your opinion those two games had the best/better game play out of everything they have found or what was highlighted in this video?
@@thetattooman600 - Samson yes imo but not Dino Peak. As for absolute best gameplay? A Link to the Past they found in season 2 with Videogame Mike. PS. I'm at work so I'm just going by the title.
@@linkmaster6486 ahhhh well that makes more sense haha, hard to put anything across any system against A link to the past. The theme music from the game literally played in my head as i read the title in your comment
Cool that True Lies is on this list, one of the games that I am most nostalgic for. My dad had that game + Street Fighter 2, and I played both of them A LOT.
I remember one time in the late 90s I visited the city of Swansea (Wales). It was a one day trip. I went to one of the local computer games shops. I don't remember which one, perhaps EB. There in a huge metal basket they had many games for sale, all thrown in. New games, not used. Discounted. Heavily. I found Civilization 2 Multiplayer Edition. A great game which I never played online, but the single player part was of course still there and what I cared for. That was a great find.
I was going to guess 1. Nintendo Sign (Possibly from a childhood store) 2. N64/PlayStation Cabinets. (Just a cool way to find them) 3. Dino Peak - bc for me it was the defining moment of The Game Chasers. 4. Battletoads/Double Dragon NES. Bc Billy used the force and caught Eric SLIPPIN. A funny as hell moment in Game Chasers history. 5. Little Samson. Bc Billy found it and passed the deal on to Jay. That showed me how they made a great team and weren't greedy about game finds.
5:11 Had the exact feeling about Zero Wing on the Genesis (Megadrive). Shooters bored me but this had something that I to this day could explain. Good stuff! Hope to see more Game Chasing, my top10 YT-channels for sure. Stay awesome!
Wishing you guys all the luck in kickstarter! Just pledged for a signed bluray. Looking forward to the extra content as much as I am the movie! You guys are cut from the same cloth. Still hit up my local flea market, and yard sales hoping for that little Sampson, but mostly end up a chode. Keep it up guys!
My best find was Alex Kidd in Shinobi World for the Master System. This item isn't common, but not the worse price. It goes for around £18-25 on UK ebay. The best part was my friend was also looking for this game as well. It was during a MCM Expo in Birmingham where this guy was selling some games. The stall was a bit squashed, so I let my mate look first. He looked, didn't find anything and then let me look. I spotted with my amazing eye a Master System game with the title "Alex Kidd". I was thinking "this is most likely the common Miracle World", but to my surprise, it was "Shinobi World". I asked for the price, and he quoted £5. I instantly bought it. It was missing the manual, but I can live without it. So yeah, I caught my mate slipping, and was totally pissed off he missed it. He still hasn't forgiven me. :P He actually did send me a link to an auction for just the manual, but it went for £15 (WHY?). The world has gone mad.
What happened to the Samson you got at the flea market? I’m not sure why you get little views on certain videos because whenever I finally see a new video by you guys it’s the first thing I watch!
Most my best finds were from years ago. Game hunting is not the same as it was 10 years ago. I used to find sword master, bubble bobble part 2, Bucky o hare, princess tomatoe, imperium, sparkster, captain commando on the snes, Chrono trigger, super metroid, tmnt hyper stone heist, turtles in time, castlevania bloodlines, phantasy star iv, growl, time killers, for $5-10 each. Once clay fighter sculptors cut for $15. Tons of great stuff. Now with the competition so fierce my last great find was a cib Arrow Flash for $15. Just barely got it. Literally everyone and their grandma are buying up retro. I see this 70 year old granny go to the thrift store five times a day and first place she runs is the game case. Honestly most of my game collection was bought years ago. I wouldn't have near as many games as I do if I started now. Guaranteed!!
I loved True Lies, that and Home Alone on Genesis surprised the crap out of me as a kid. Movie games... that were fun! Home Alone actually has some crude crafting... pretty ahead of its time really.
I found an awesome old bootleg of Ninja Spirit on the OG GameBoy. Love that thing, plays just like the Japanese original. My favorite find either be when I found my Master System Model 1, or when I found a bunch of Japanese Not For Sale games complete with spine card here in Southern California. Klonoa being my favorite I found that day. Not the most epicly rare stuff, but my favorite finds. I have a couple super gems like Hagane and Ducktales 2, but those were bought online years ago.
My favorites are dragon warrior 4, the legend of Zelda, Metroid, Goonies 2, and shadowrun on the SNES. I also really enjoyed wizardry V. I still own my copy complete in box.
TOP 5 Friday! TONIGHT! love these videos , got a couple questions about the movie , if i buy the bluray do i get a digital copy? and is it possible to get a slipcover alongside the signatures? will definitely be supporting :) have every release so far :) , wish i could of gotten season 1 + 2 signed though :P keep up the great work guys
All for quality. Not for mediocrity. 👍 - & about my 1st comment: probably should've just not commented - guess I was confused - was tryin ta see if I could just comment on the thumbnail, wasn't sure it'd workout or not... Hopin ya didn't take it as sarcastic cuz I totally meant (spontaneous). Spontaneous is my nature ( *
I actually haven't had a chance to play any of the games mentioned but at least in your eyes all the games mentioned have great gameplay associated with them and you have a great story associated with each and every one of these games. Good luck with the funding regarding your movie.
My favorite game out of the 5 you listed is Raiden. I played that game plenty of times in arcades growing up, I just recently got the SNES version of the game, and it was worth the $10 in my opinion. Yeah it's watered down compared to the arcade version, and the Turbo Grafx version, but hey I enjoy it.
I am quite interested into how the movie'll work. I am eagerly awaiting the results. I'm gonna have a look at the kickstarter in a bit. Good luck with it.
