Someone give this guy a medal for marketing. He managed to easily prove a flaw in most pruner designs, explained why that was, and offered a better solution with the product he was showing. Even allowing a costumer to test out the two products to see for themselves if the product is actually effective and worth the money.
@@MS-pz9wd i mean most sales i see are just rinse and repeat "ayo buy this shit bc its better than our competitor" This dude actually explains why its better
As someone who studied marketing, this is like the most basic strategy to sell something. It's just people dont know how to sell stuff hence it seems so good to see someone actually do good marketing
So, you have never seen any ad oder salesman before in your life? He literally says that he uses the other tool for the wrong purpose and his tool for the correct purpose. Of course it's working better.
Its a cutter in general. Thats like saying cotton swabs are just covid test swabs. Like what... its a racheting 1" wood cutter. Designed for wood not pvc.
@@jamestoole3614 Why wood I use a pvc tool to clear cut 2.5 acres of outdoor medicinal weed??(we harvest plants partially sometimes) Now,assuming our plants will make a one# minimum they'll have one inch branch bases... This man would get rich selling these to legal grows all over Oklahoma... Thats called using the right tool for the job... Surely a Toole with Your name knows as much??
The tool is meh. The difference would become obvious if you use it like 100 or so times. You would have to pump it 300 more times to finish. Would rather just buy a quality sharp pruner. Have had mine for 10+ years with extremely rough use and occasional sharpening.
@@bohhlord8338 When I see stuff like this I think of old folks and small women etc... Anyone who may not have a ton of grip strength. A weedeater on wheels would be "meh" at best for me, but I know several little old ladies who adore them because they can actually help their husband in the yard (even though they physically cant carry a weedeater)
I used some recently to clear thick vines and little trees from a baseball fields fence. You ever need anything relatively small, but hard to cut its a decent thing to have. I think most people should have a general tool droit of some kind.
@@leksasdf oh I didnt see that, yeah he is misusing those clippers, they most certainly arent meant for branches of that size. Pretty disingenuous marketing if you ask me.
It’s sucks cuz people have short attention spans now, I notice when I’m telling people things about something I’m passionate about they lose interest extremely quickly and I’ve even been told it’s annoying. I have lots of different hobbies so it’s not even like I’m always talking about one thing and being annoying about it.
@@davaymyaso7816 no bro I’ll literally just be talking about something and if it’s longer than 2 seconds they get bored 😂 I mean I get it ig, but I promise you I’m a very good story teller 💀 I get hyped up.
This i basically a strong pair of pvc scissors, and let me tell you, pvc scissors are easily one of the best cutting tools i have ever touched. This is probably one of the best and simplest tool redesigns i have ever seen.
Nah too quick and clean, I'll stick to clumsily using a non ratchet set to really drag the interrogation out. If this comment gets seen by my government I'm either going to get hired or arrested lol
"Other companies tell you it's only meant for one size and if you break it, it's a consumer problem, our tools we tell you it's exactly one inch" literally
Extremely out of context though, .5 inch pruners can fit a lot bigger stuff that just .5 inch diameters. The product demonstrated showed that it would only fit the contained spaces
@@genuinlywhatever514 you're missing the point... the point is they mention it's only for .5 inch items but leave enough space for people to TRY larger items. So if it breaks when trying the larger item, the customer isn't liable for a refund or something because they technically used to tool improperly.
No, other companies have .5 inch pruners that can fit a one inch but will break, this pruner can cut anything it can fit. So if it says a one inch pruner, your not gonna be able to accidentally break it on a two inch branch
It could be argued that for cutting relatively small branches, the inconvenient pruner(?) is more effective cus you don't need to press multiple times for it to cut
This is an excellent demo. Women are the largest buyers of consumer products. This appeals more to them than men (who crank the 3FT handles against their waist in a fit of determination) and for good reason. This looks to be a very well thought out design.
Why do you say that exactly? He’s marketing a ratcheting pruner which is probably a better tool than those cheapy pruners they sell at the hardware store
In Germany we nearly exclusively use bypass scissors (the first one that „didn’t work“) when we cut flowers and stems we want to keep (for floristry for example) since one part of the scissor doesn’t squeeze the stem when pressure is applied. Amboss scissors (the one working) press the stem on the amboss part of the tool. Even if you don’t want to keep the cut material, this damages the plant it was cut from and hinders its healing process. When normal bypass scissors don’t work anymore there are specialized once with smaller blades that cut through even bigger twigs than this. If you want to cut twigs like this without harming your hands. Use tree scissors with longer handels. Those scissors seem practical but a high quality pair of Bypass scissors (like Felco) with regularly cared for baldes is mich better since it cuts from both ends.
Ratcheting pruner/cutters in general is actually a really great idea. I wonder if the product will hold up over the years like the other, cheaper pairs.
"you can use it for trimming flowers, Small limbs, especially the limbs of some prick who's getting a little mouthy...been dodging ya'...been talking to some other family?...I've said too much "
This is amazing for folks with mobility and strength issues! Might look into getting some for my dad, he has lupus and has begun losing control of his grip.
Well I am fully ambidextrous and would probably just say neither because whenever someone asks if I'm right handed or left handed saying neither saves time because instead of people saying what does ambidextrous mean they get the point.
@@dragonmasterlangeweg7625 just say right handed and stop being an prick. "i'M NeiTher" when you say that, it means you don't have an dominate hand, ambidextrous means both hands are dominate.
@@stefthorman8548 actually ambidextrous means both hands are equally dominant and therefore neither is more dominant and so since both are equally dominant neither is dominant. Basically if both are dominant neither is dominant.
@@michaelluzier7683 I think you may be thinking of typical pipe cutters. Pipe cutters for either plumbing parts and copper pipe are the circular ones that cut around the exterior. (Maybe there are some designed for PVC as well, I don't know.) Any handheld PVC cutter I have seen is a scissor like device as shown here. It cranks down just like this to cut through smaller diameter PVC.
@@kedcast Idk, the blade and anvil look like they could have some modified geometry, he does have blade blanks just chilling on the table, could be prototypes to show development. I could just be being way too generous though
To everyone hating. This is something my mother can easily use for her garden after working at ford for 35 years. That’s a great present. I love the idea of this. Stop being ignorant and think of your family.
