ive used a nylon pop up dog crate. for years. weather proof, lower profile, cheap, various sizes and types available at most thrift stores. the dog hates sharing the space. but hey.... (-:

I have the Igan. I just leave it assembled and set it off the side. Doesn’t take up that much room.

Nice video. I just can’t stomach paying $120 for a generator tent when you can pickup a 2 person tent for half. Or do what I do and run the generator under cover in the pickup bed. But, if you feel you need one then it seems like the more expensive is better. You will have to tie it down or watch your $120 blow away where the other one wouldn’t go anywhere.

I shouldn't say this but I will lol. It's not ok to run a generator in the rain but at my job we have for 13 years and counting the red ones. Hurricanes floods etc. we just run them for railroad equipment after power failures. After soaking through all of the water unprotected the only problems have been low oil. We tried predator and nope.

Yea some gens run fine in the ran some don’t. The old predator did and the new one I guess not. They can but if you want less issues it helps to keep them dry. They don’t use die electric grease on anything

Thanks for this review Johnny. I like the IGAN footprint for propane or gas portable generators. Could this double as a protective cover for portable solar power stations during recharging ?

The top of the cheaper one will collect water and it obviously won't last as long. The Igan would be worth the extra money to me. Thanks for the review Johnny!

They could make the Igan much easier and quicker to assemble if they'd shock cord the plastic tube frame.

Because of where I live, I don’t think they’ll be enough airflow. I will stick to using a tarp.

If it’s super hot and humid then yes probably… or you would open the side and front a little

To fold it properly - you just take it at top and bottom, and twist. Like U're trying to make figure 8. After that - both circles would want to overlap and lay flat, U'll feel it. If done correctly - it will want to stay flat with minimal effort, and would be easy to put in bag.

Well this is not a car window shade it doesn’t fools the same. The instructions show to grab exactly where I did in the video, but I did do it a few more times and it is easier now and folds a little better. For a temp set up it will do the job. For long term and better protecting the igan is better. The benval did better with sound though

@@johnnysweekends True, it did :). Thank you for interesting review, btw :). As for car shades and these tents - they all share similar concept with that springy wire circle inside. The tent however is very similar to children toy houses (sometimes they call it pop-up-tent), which I happen to have. And I had to fold it back and forth quite a lot. So... instruction or not - I'm quite sure on how to fold these things quickly :D. P.S. Don't even know why I'm insisting so much on this. Probably, just wanted to share some trick I learned hard way. Either way - nice review as always, thank you!. And good luck!
