Here is another opener that I usually do: -Fall back line and abandon Bavaria -Declare war on france -Use the motorized and tanks to rush the maginot -Encircle most of the french army in Bavaria -Full annex, take ships -Justify on luxembourg -Declare war, UK should also be called in the war -Invade UK -Take everything except London VP -Now u can go ham and have 25 day war goals -After that just take a bit of the Canadian provinces in the East so you can have a border with USA -Conquer USA The rest is up to you Lovely video anyways

I have over 250 hours in hoi4 and I have never been able to win the war as Germany. I spent so many games going through the focus tree and slowly building up what I thought was perfect division templates only to be stopped by Belgium. This video has led me my very first victory over the Allies and I did it before the Spanish civil war ended. Thank you for sharing your strategy! Early justifications, especially on the Netherlands, is a game changer and leaves Germany in a much better position than following the focus tree.

Just a small correction for this great opener: Spy networks rise faster if you stack them in one province. Spreading them out is only good if you want the buffs while you invade

Wonderful opener. I personally like throwing tanks at people so I would probably invest a bit in tank research etc., but I really enjoy the wargoal juggling because that is something I forget to do most of the time

Taureor your strat is great because it's simple and it doesn't require bothering with the navy. However the thing about fighting the allies in hoi4, especially against ai britain is that they are just so bad at defending their home islands. It's not even about having a big navy or an op strat, I've had games where they just don't bring their navy out or do so for some time and then when I remove my fleet they vanish as well. It's arguably easier to take out england through the english channel than it is from the north sea

It's great, but i do this a bit different. Because of the faction war mechanics, if you are in war with at least one major nation you can justify very fast (10-25 days), justify on european minors and if it's ready declare war on them. Through the whole process you must be in war with England or France by delaying their capitulation. If you declared on all minors that you wanted you can end the war and all of the countries will capitulate even if you don't touch their lands. For example: you do what you did in this video, but you don't finish england, you just encircle London. That way England will stay in the war and it won't trigger the peace conference. Then you justify on Portugal, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Greece, Yugoslavia etc...Once you are in war with whole Europe you just have to march into London and capitulate the half of the world.

My opener is 36 through Frances maginot. You lose about 7k soliders to take over france, get a big af navy and resources galore to build up

Paratroopers for operation sea lion, drop a couple on a couple port tiles and you are bound to get one and getting air supremacy is usually much easier than naval

Why early justify on Poland? Poland is a pushover at any time...If you do 'Danzig or War', you get cores.

you can also get enough naval supremacy in the English channel by simply putting all your ships over the channel. It works like a charm every time.

Have you tried this with non-historical? It looked like a fun way to start Germany, but in non-historical - at least two times the world tension spikes from ... was it from 10 to 30 or something and Poland just insta joins Allies (Thou Poland turning into a kingdom could cause it? - Even with mefo bills down it seems the initial pp investment cripples any chance to help Spain, who in non-historical is much less likely to win civil war alone ( this one could be just my skills, but the 200 pp before starting any military advisor stuff and such seems to leave my 3 - 4 units in spain in weak condition.) - Without Rheinland done there is a chance Anchluss gets bypassed or Hungary makes some wacky move, since it takes so long. - All the sweet sweet oil from east is gone, if all targets in this attack joins Allies. Have you or has anyone an idea, if this is at all applicable in non-historical path? Could there be other target like Sweden that will not join as easily as Poland? Does Rheinland cause so much tension, that it is instantly a fail to go to war without Allies?

The reason you lack some infantry equipment is that you entirely unnecessary waste it when "deploying your divisions early" as untrained cav, and THEN exercise them to level 2. They would deploy perfectly fine as infantry and be level 1 already. Such "early deployment" is only usable when going for focuses that require army in the field. Otherwise it is a gimmick that helps you waste equipment.

No free trade early? Germany doesn't need the resources early and huge boost from limited exports. I also like to grind List in Spain, I know he's not a brilliant strategist, but he's level 2 so you can get Adaptable pretty easy.

Really excellent guide man. I feel like if I’m going to play brown party Germany, i prefer to keep to a historical-ish timeline. Just my personal preference, but if it’s “anything goes” it gets so easy, get rubber oil from DEI, etc. Germany is so damn easy it feels like cheating either way

Annexing the Netherlands and especially their juicy resources and puppeting Poland is my favourite alongside prolonging the outbreak of WW2 unnecessarily long always was my favourite. It screws up the whole game but whatever.
