Iz*one, Loona and Dreamcatcher killbit in terms of choreo. And I'm glad Chungha also made it into the list. I feel like soloists are usually left out in rankings =/ It's nice to see someone talking about choreos more in depth. It made me realize there's more behind them.

bruh tell me why i almost cried when i saw twice in here. i know they're huge but they get so much shit for their dancing and singing, but it makes me so happy seeing them really experiment with theirselves lately and people loving how they have evolved and matured.

I got into Loona mainly for So What. I followed every stage in this comeback and couldn't believe how convoluted this choreo was, i've never seen something like this in kpop.

Ngl that stay tonight caught me off, the back up dancers are the main point. And if you don't know, the back up dancer choreographed that song

You should definitely do a Wjsn choreo ranking, they never disappoint with their choreos, or maybe just saw them, i recommend you💛.

If sakura or any izone member see this they probably gonna working more harder cause they literally hunger of progression. For an example, during this comeback sakura improves so much (from my view)

Loona being number 1 is the only thing that mattered, really. This group never failed to deliver those hard hitting choreographies and their transitions are indeed so pleasing to the eyes.

As an orbit, i am really guilty that i always underestimate loona for their capabilities but seeing this analysis makes me see things that I didn't saw in "So What" choreo. I expected them to be fifth but wow top 1. And you aren't the only one that said that so what is by far the best choreo of ggs, i also watched other kpop dance analysts mentioned that so what is the best so far (or if not one of the best) that happened this year

Okay Itzy's shoulder dance is ICONIC. Even non kpop fans and tik tokers did the shoulder dance and it went viral in different social medias

I think LOONA truly deserved first because of the details, formations, and transitions. They are one of the groups I rarely see have weak angles because they're so meticulous with extensions, hand placements, etc. I do agree that because of line distribution and live show broadcasting the choreography can't be displayed to its fullest. LOONA is one of the few GG I see who break out of the stereotypical girl crush or cutesy concept, each move felt empowering but feminine. I love that aspect of them so much.

hi, im kinda late to this but im a dancer as well and i would just like to comment on the itzy part. i agree with you, it's too easy to learn. i saw people saying it was hard, and i was surprised because it wasn't too difficult at all for me, but that's probably because im a dancer. i feel like most of the moves were quite simple, well executed definitely but still simple. the rap part was probably the hardest to get down. i would love to see itzy abosolutely go off in the future, since they can handle it for sure. i also would like to know your thoughts on the chorus of more & more. personally, i didn't find it hard at all despite others thinking it was. tiring, yes, but not too difficult. im sorry this is so long 😭

Izone and loona has a big advantage since there are many members. They can create formations and ripples that would amaze the audience. But of course the downside is that it is more difficult to synchronize all of them

Iz*one just released their SSOTS dance practice. Maybe that will change your mind, hehehehe. But Loona is insane though, none can beat them, I was more impressed by their Butterfly choreo though. But the bridge part of "So what" is just...... ugh (it kinda looks like improvised feel special intro 2.0) Amazing!

LOONA with Eclipse(Got7 not KLs) was a real highlight for me.

Wahhh I really loved Seulgi and Irene's MONSTER AND NAUGHTY choreo the most this year, not sure on technicalities since I'm not a trained dancer but stylistically both were soooo refreshing, beautiful, and ICONIC. Especially the tutting and vogueing in NAUGHTY! I would love love love to see your take on it. :)

I think dreamcatcher has led the way for the current trend for sharper, more complicated girl group choreo. But I agree 100% that Loona So What is the best this year. Thanks for providing very informed reasoning.

I think that the reason ITZY was low ranked is because they are only 5 members, meanwhile LOONA and IZ*ONE have a lot of members and they can really use that to create amazing formations. I totally agree with the ranking, but i gotta say ITZY's level of synchronization is unmatched.

They're a recently debuted Chinese girl group from the show Youth with You 2 and I really want to see an opinion on their skills from a dancer; one of the members Xin Liu in particular also has a strong background in popping which is quite uncommon for a female idol! I'm really agree with your opinions, but I think that you select the choreography only if it looks hard or powerful, gfriend may not have a powerful coreographies, but are really difficult and beautiful, and in my opinion you should see more about that this, look about the synchronization and different things besides "is powerful" (English is not my first lenguage, sorry for mistakes)

I always thought Nun nu Nan na was really energetic and fun choreo and I’m happy to see it on your list :)

I disagree a little with Chungha, not because of her level or the quality of the dance but just because she is a solo career. When an idol is in solo career I think you can more concentrate the dance or her capacities and her qualities because you don't have to "adapt" the choreography for everyone, the back-dancers can bee chosen after the choregraphy. But in a girl group, the choreography has to be adapted for the level of each member, to permite everyone to dance although of their capacities, this is why I prefer a "solo" category and a "group" category. Sorry for my bad English;, I'm French, and I love your rankings !

you must watch aria by craxy!!! it's similar to scream in that it utilizes backup dancers really nicely, but it also has some funky formations and transitions and moves that you will not find in most choreos. if (when) you watch it, you'll notice semi-circles drawn on the floor, which are made in a rather unique movement that i haven't seen in many kpop choreos, let alone girl group choreos.

The vdeo was nice I just cant agree with the whole "it's too easy" or "its really simple to learn" to be reasons for ranking lower. There nothing wrong in being a bit, a choreo being hard doesnt turn they better looking, and it can be "simple" to learn but to make it look good its a whole another story. Not hating just my two cents, but I really liked your analyses for transitions!
