Yes ! She mentioned dancing from a young age and there's clips of her dancing in high school... totally right they didn't give her enough numbers to showcase her dancing !
is everyone just going to ignore tina? she was always the 2nd female dancer. she was in single ladies and did that duo with mike the tap one while artie sang. literally everyone forgets about her.
Right?? Sure, she's no Brittany or Mike, but Tina really is quite the dancer. In the second season, Rachel mentioned that Tina and Mike would be useless if they couldn't dance, which implies that she was one of the better dancers in the group.
@@jinakaye I think that maybe Naya could be switched out in favor of Jenna, because while I'm in love with Naya, her dancing isn't particularly great, at least not better than Dianna's
@@thomasthegoatofsatan2754: Nah, Naya has much better technique...especially since she was mainly hired to be a dancer. Dianna is not even in my top 10...and I have 12 people listed on my list. Billy and Laura are better movers than Dianna. I almost put in a triple by adding Vanessa to Melissa/Dijon, and Ms. Lengies can actually dance...however, I went by characters on the show.
@@madisonsingergirl2363 It at least had good comedic value because of how bad it was. Compare him to someone like Sam though and there's no comparison. Sam is also super-bad but unlike Finn who's bad dancing was at least funny, Sam's bad dancing is just stiff and awkward.
It's hard to pick between heather and Harry. While heather's choreo is always fast and impressive - and she often moves so skillfully in heels - Harry movements are so effortless and yet controlled at the same time. If I had to pick I would probably say Harry, but heather is fantastic as well.
Makes me think of the time in episode ‘100’ and they are on fondue for 2 and Brittany says there’s a rumour you were actually a really good dancer in high school but you hid it so you could park and bark
i mean yes she was amazing on dwts but that's a totally different world and let's not forget that was after weeks of training!! she was great there but on glee she wasn't really that good
Mr Shue is seriously underrated in legit about every way. Look, as a character he's a creep and not the best developed. But in terms of skill, he's not only a great dancer but also the best rock vocalist in the whole show.
Right?! It’s been so long since I saw the show last so I’ve just been watching all these youtube videos making fun of Glee and Mr Schue especially, and when I started rewatching from the beginning I was really surprised by how decent his character actually was in the first season. After that he was just completely assassinated by the writers and that’s the only thing he’s remembered for now. I feel kinda bad for Matt Morrison, he’s a great singer, actor and dancer, and it seems like people only see him as the creepy guy who sang Blurred Lines with teens twerking around him 😅
@@dwtsglee Not exactly. She had the misfortune of being partnered with Max, one of the most boring choreographers in DWTS. Their jazz the week before being eliminated was a snoozefest and an injustice to Heather's talents.
@@AlexisVidaMedinaLim MAKS, danced with her for two weeks, so it’s incredibly unfair to blame him. Second, as soon as she signed on production knew she was gonna be the “shock elimination” of the season. It was set up from the jump and if you don’t believe that then you have too much faith in reality television.
@@gk891 But it's not just that. They basically had an entire episode based on the fact that Mercedes supposedly couldn't dance and that she was lazy. Mr.Shue clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.
@@MJ-xz6oh Oh I know, that episode was really uncalled for. It put a bad shadow on Amber herself since Glee fans are gullible and can't separate fact from fiction. But thankfully she was able to shed some of that by winning DWTS. But it's less to do with Mr. Schue as a character (although he is kind of reprehensible) but more to do with the writing. The writers had to resort to racist stereotypes that women of colour were lazy and therefore not as worthy of the spotlight. But the funny thing is that Amber dances well (way better than Lea Michele does) but they put the park and bark label on Mercedes even though it should've went on Rachel. It was as if they were taking a fault of Lea/Rachel and deflecting it onto Amber/Mercedes.
Personally? My top 10 would be 10. Naya Rivera 9. Darren Criss 8. Dianna Agron 7. Jenna Ushkowitz 6.Kevin McHale 5. Becca Tobin 4. Matthew Morrison 3. Jacob Artist 2. Heather Morris 1. Harry Shum, Jr. I only wouldn't include Amber because she was good on Dancing with the Stars but they rarely showed her dancing on the show. I'm only including people we saw dance well on the show. Dianna got better as the show went on, in season 3 is when she really hit her stride with dancing. I feel like that is the best we ever saw her. Watch her in the sectionals performance in "Hold on to Sixteen" or in "Run the World (Girls)". I also only went with series regulars, though I do think Kate Hudson a great dancer.
i feel like the producers didn't showcase jake's talent because he was offered to go into Julliard but declined to be an actress. he dances really well and is all-rounded
i never like to say it cause i know i’ll get attacked and also i just overall don’t like comparing but i genuinely prefer his dancing it mike and brittanys, don’t get me wrong both mike and brittany are extremely talented but they are overrated😬🙈
The Reverse -Flash. I also agree that Heather isn't as good as Harry. I think Heather overdoes her body movements and she can sometimes look like she's trying too hard and almost a little spastic. Harry's dancing looks more effortless in my opinion.
I just really prefer Heather. Although I think that she and Harry have different types of dancing, It's more fun for me to watch Heather dancing and less at Harry. Sorry, this is my opinion😬
It's fine if you like Heather's dancing better. Many do. But I'm not so sure you're offering any arguments as to why she's better from a technical perspective. It's kind of like saying I like this dancer better because 'I think he or she is more fun to watch'. Whereas someone else might say 'this dancer is better because he or she has more disciplined neck and shoulder line and leg extension'. Personal preference shouldn't dictate why one dancer might be better than another dancer. But if it actually is just about personal preference, the term 'best' shouldn't even come into the equation. It should be 'favorite' instead.
It’s clear that Kurt and Sam were some of the worst dancers after Finn of course. Mercedes and Tina danced amazing in many episodes. I don’t get why the show said they were bad.
MyPanicalBridget. If you're going to use past accomplishments as a measure of who's better, it's Harry by miles. Because Harry was also a backup dancer for Beyonce and toured with her. He was also a dancer for Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Raven, and Jessica Simpson. Harry also taught Heather hip hop at a convention called the West Coast Dance Explosion (he apparently didn't remember but she remembered him and told him about it when they re-met on Glee). He won a dance competition to star in an ipod commercial And he was one of the producers and choreographers and principal dancers in LXD which was a huge hit on Hulu.
Harry has better technic (at the specific styles of dances we saw on glee: hip hop, funk, jazz)though heather is great at women role dancing obv, and soul, jazz,... I'm not saying heather isnt amazing..its obvious they both are great, but harry has better technic (imao), looks smoother, and has more range of dances. But they are both gods on the dance floor for sure, so there's no argument. Harry taught Heather Hip Hop and just has a little more experience in different dance styles, but they each are stronger at different styles like tap, classical, hip hop, etc.. that's why you really can't compare 2 dancers as good as them. Heather is beautiful, awesome, and professional when she dances especially the Britney Spears ep, but Harry just looked so smooth, experienced and cool in the Michael ep. It really doesnt matter cause they are both amazing.😭⭐💕all peace, no (mean arguing) to me or harry/ heather. I'm out, Abby..
Alexandria Says people forget that in season 1 the majority of the cheerio dance scenes involved naya. Which means she was able to keep up and hold her own with professional dancers. Thats quite impressive.
Shannon not really. It’s not like they ever focused the camera long enough on the whole group to notice if she was in synch. As a professional dancer i can spot that kate is well trained and Naya is not
Alexandria Says as a fan of naya my eye would constantly be on her and she was rarely ever not in sync. I understand your point but its not like naya is a mediocre dancer.
Alexandria Says no reason for the snobby, elitist comment. I said I understand your point. Its not like i put naya first. I put them one spot apart. Really not a big difference
Camila Auntentka obviously i disagree. I didn’t see enough of her dancing to warrant putting her higher. Also dianna, amber and naya are really good. And underrated in terms of their dancing.
Shannon W she can do a lot pirouettes.... She has a very good cordination and if you say that she don’t dance very good I feel bad for her because her audition was dancing :(
1. Harry Shum Jr. / Heather Morris 2. Jacob Artist 3. Kevin McHale 4. Matthew Morrison 5. Dijon Talton 6. Becca Tobin / Amber Riley 7. Kate Hudson 8. Grant Gustin 9. Naya Rivera / Darren Criss 10. Dianna Agron
I love your channel but I think that sometimes you kind of get obsessed with Naya Rivera and Heather Morris. Don't get me wrong I love them too but if I'm being honest sometimes I feel like you go overboard.......
Darren's not bad at dancing but he is nowhere near as good as his fans seem to think. In You Should Be Dancing, Harry and Heather actually looked bored because the choreography was super-simple. And towards the end of the number, Darren's timing was noticeably slower even though they tried to disguise it with quick editing cuts. I think Darren presonally think is overrated all the way across the board. His acting is atrocious, his dancing is nothing more than competent, and while his singing voice is fine, it is nothing great or special IMO.
I’m just saying. He will never be the BEST dancer in glee, but he is a good dancer, omg is just my opinion. I really like him in HFT but if u don’t think so, is not my problem...
gk891 Did u watched ACS? His performance is wonderful! In glee he did not hang himself bc it was a comedy. And his voice? Is not the best in the show bc we had Groff, but in every live he is fantastic. In dance he can be not perfect, he is so far away from that, but in the rest he do his best! Sorry any mistake in my english, it isn’t my first linguaje and i’m tyred of using Google Translation
How did Amber Riley (Using a Dancing with the Stars clip) get on the list, but Darren Criss was completely left off?? Harry, Heather, and Jacob clearly deserve the noms, but some talent was sorely overlooked!!
He was a decent mover on the show, but if we are talking about actual technique, style, and charisma, Blaine did not have that in the same fashion as, say, Jake, Mike, Matt (if only for one season), or even Mr. Schue. Blaine was definitely more of a theater mover...dude couldn't even twerk. That's why Tina was really laughing! 🤣
i would 100% but harry and heather and #1 together but if i *had* to pick between them i would also put heather over harry if ONLY because they can do primarily all of the same stuff (obviously not everything but theres a large overlap in general skill) but heather is doing it all in heels most of the time
I know this might sound weird but I would switch Harry and Heather just because Harry was known for dancing as Mike and I feel putting him in second makes it just seem wrong because Heather was known for singing and dancing while Harry was known for his dancing which showed a lot just now because you mostly saw Harry dance with everyone
I personally preferred Harry's singing over Heather's. I liked Harry's warm tone as it was very well suited to jazz and easy-listening songs. And I thought his pitch and resonance sounded better than that of either Cory Monteith or Heather Morris. Even his dance numbers on Glee outside of maybe just a few failed to demonstrate what he was capable of. I remember watching Harry dance at the West Coast Dance Explosion, with LXD, and as a backup dancer for Beyonce and he was mesmerizing. His dance numbers of Glee didn't capitalize on that. But I guess it's all about framing since Mike wasn't supposed to be in the forefront on this show and so therefore they had to make characters who were supposed to be at the forefront instead look as good as possible.
Harry is also a professional dancer and was one of Beyonce's backup dancers. he also danced for other famous singers as well like Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, and Jessica Simpson.
I really don’t like how in the show they had Amber Riley play a character who they said in the show wasn’t a great dancer when Amber is a great dancer. I love Mercedes but they did her dirty in the show. Also I can’t choose between Heather and Harry. They are both amazing dancers.
My opinion: (only main cast) Honerable mentions: Santana & Quinn (What her preformances in We run the world) 5)Mercedes 4)Arty 3)Mr.shu 2)Jacob 1)Mike/Britney
