Pro Tip: go battle week challenge. To get the “10 super effective charged moves, go into the team leader training and choose the red team leader and Great League. If you have a Pokemon with Hydro Cannon (greninja with water shuriken+hydro is best) you can one shot everything she has and get your 10 moves done in less than 5 minutes.
@@fabiandejesus7832 yes exactly a “noob” tip. Guess watching a video about good teams to run to help you win more battles so you can get more rewards is also “noob” tips.
And more importantly, you ever think that some people don’t even mess with GBL and only focus on raids but seeing a chance for an Elite Charged TM they come to a video like this to see if they have anything to use to grind out a few sets just to get the rewards? Why not give them an easy option? Hell if this is “noob” tactics then so is using PVPoke, data mining, move optimization, battle simulation and so on.
Sorry to comment twice as I just left one on the ultra league video. Man, it always hurts trying to build teams when you're lacking the mons. Sableye, deoxys, shadow gligar, shadow swamp, empoleon, azumarill, vigoroth, and lickitung, they're all such menaces, and I don't think I'll ever get a chance to run any of them.
what i don’t understand is how 0/15/15 (for example) useful? like should i pick that instead of lets say i find a shundo? kinda confused rn someone plz explanation 🙏
Good one, dontsleep XD Licki is still amazing but the raise of Basti, Wiggly and Vigoroth makes it more difficult tbh. My favorite team is Licki, Lanturn and Gligar in the safe switch. Not creative but works pretty well.
i think icy wind is the most op move that no one talks about 1.5 dpe with 100% chance to lower attack. it's ridiculous how you can just double shield icy wind with dewgong poliwrath and wiggly and force switch in 2 shields in 99% of match ups people thought breaking swipe was op, I always thought then why is no one calling for icy wind nerf??? ice has better coverage as well.
Honestly, I find anyone who can still play PvP passionately this late in the season is just straight up admirable. I haven’t ever gotten past ace rank and I get rocked every single time by team after team. At this point, I’m wondering what’s even the point of go battle league, beyond stardust and candies. If there’s no way to improve, battle after battle…….im starting to question if I should even engage in trainer battles anymore?
I'm in the same boat but I can guarantee you're not playing perfectly. So there is much room for improvement I'm sure. Which is why you're stuck at ACE ... like me lol
I peaked expert a few years back but since then I have never been out of ace. I don’t get it. I’m getting complete visual lag trying to count, I play meta teams and get absolutely walled, I switch to account for those teams and it just rng walls me again. I don’t get what else to do I feel majority I watch and learn from just hit legend making crazy mistakes but it still works out for them. I just don’t get it.
Idk what rank you are, maybe I’m just lower, but I’ve been using the Gligar, Dewgong, Empoleon team and lost maybe 2 sets out of like 15-20. It took 10 sets for me to really understand how to play the team though…Lanturn, Poliwrath are tough leads and I recommend using Dig to match their timing on Surf/Ice Wind respectively, then as you’re about to get KO’d by it, catch on the dewgong.
Do you have a dominant top meta team? Have you lost on purpose until you're at an incredibly low elo (like 1600 1700)? Is there a 4x stardust rewards bonus? If the answer to any of these questions is no, there's not much point in using green passes.
@@weedscientist1 I may try something like that! I don't have Vig built yet, but I have a couple ready to double move & power up. Oddly enough I started getting some traction back with Wiggly, Lokix (I know, spice lol), and Whiscash. Subbed Lokix out for Annihilape later. May try another team around Lanturn since I enjoy using it. I haven't seen too many fighters leading lately either
For the two people above saying this gligar is bad, they're wrong. pv poke says it wins both Gligar/ shadow Quag/ lickitung in the 1s over the rank 1. Like sableye, A Gligar doesn't necessarily need high bulk It also wins Guzzlord /Lantern/ S Gligar/Wigglytuff/ Whishcash in the 0s and Guzzlord/Lantern/ Both Quagsire/ Gligar in 2s
@@brianwenzel912 I know exactly what you are talking about. I run a 14/5/0 Annihilape as well as it has like a +15 battle rating on the matrix as it beats lickitung and every single mirror. People think stat product is everything when its really not. CMP is more important and far more frequent.
@@brianwenzel912 Exactly. Top meta pokemon are also top meta because of their flexibility, it's not just bulk, typing and moves. We also have the Annihilape example, an attack weighted Annihilape actually picks up a lot of different match ups than a rank 1
17 times I though he said in 2-5 videos that he didn't hit legend on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd season of GBL!? so it can not be 17-18!?? or my math is wrong here! LOL
The way I understand it: In the first few seasons of GBL, "Legend", as a rank, didn't exist. In those seasons, Dan reached the equivalent to Legend (which was rank 10).
So I guess dark pulse/foul play on Umbreon is the best moveset for this meta? Looks like it has the highest win ratio in sims too compared to psychic or last resort
