After almost 2 years of comments telling me to use the grout brush, finally, here's a comparison of the Zep Grout Cleaner and the Bissell SteamShot. This time I found a walk-in shower with grout that was stained from hard water. Watch and see what happens.

I have the Bissell steam cleaner. The grout brush worked exceptionally well with the steamer for my home floors. The grout went from black to the original grey. Baking soda plus vinegar with manual scrubbing worked as good as well but a lot more effort and time. Me clean magic eraser worked as well but a lot more effort and time. Zep was useless and did not work.

After using acid on grout, just to be safe, neutralize with baking soda and water. That way it won't attack your grout and weaken it.

They've recalled the Bissell Steamshot. I have the exact one on this video and got an email from Amazon about it and a persistent reminder in the app.

You need the grout cleaner set for about 15 minutes so it can have a chance to lift the stains and the steam, when it dries is when u notice the difference!

CRAZY how long you think it would take to clean a full small house room to room talking about floors? That's just insanity!

I agree, it does take a long time to clean grout. Many people choose to pay a floor cleaning company to do it.

might not have been as white as the upper grout because the floor was wet because it was just cleaned and the upper was dry? Did it look brighter after it dried?

I use gel toilet cleaner, leave it for 15 minutes then a Hoover power dash scrubber- vacuum.

The bleach in it supposedly breaks down the grout, but I have also tried it with good results on my kitchen floor.

I tried toilet bowl cleaner and it etched my tile. you can see it in the light.

Be careful with that, that experience cost me a lot after I stained a cliente bathroom grout.

Haven’t used the ZEP brand for grout, looks like lightened it though

Zep is an acid - a real bad idea for grout. It will eventually cause your grout to fail.

Hello- cool video! Quick question: should you re seal the grout after? Does sealing even help 😅?

Of course unless you want to do this all over again in a few weeks. I've been battling witg my floors and I just decided to use pre mixed grout Its not bad so far and fills in the cracks as well, but even so my floors are already getting dark looking again. Absolutely HATE ceramic tile after knowing how much of a pain it is to take care of. You mine as well have a baby or get a puppy because all you do is slave over these tiles!

Update! I washed my premixed grout with dish soap and it came out way better than I expected. Looks pretty good without any sealer!
