For real. Keep the thing as it is from the start of the video. Looks so good. Don't want to ruin the bottom of the car. It's perfect to rage on back roads.
Agreed, on the rare occasions when Chris actually listens to Tommy, it’s a wise move. When he goes against Tommy’s advice, like in this case, it looks like shit
@@joaco2530 it was a joke. He used the shaken not stirred comment and changed it to broken not burnt. People got real upset which is so silly. People need to learn how to take a joke these days.
@@portablezaps6517 they're shitty plastic caps with crappy plastic tabs. They commonly break and fall off. I'd get some billet aluminum reproductions personally (as tommy mentioned)
It disappointed me seeing ruddy lower the gtr so much but I mean his name is literally “ricer Miata” so I guess we can’t get too mad when he rices out his 32
Dude the progress you've made with your GTR is unreal. Coming from how it was in Florida with that nasty body kit and Scumberto touching it with his greasy hands, to now. Amazing. Looks killer. Props to Tomcat and Josh
Nothing wrong with Roberto touching it lol. He works on them daily. Tommy just hates him and is wrong saying a coil pack can't ruin an engine. It's called detonation and it destroys engines all the time.
In my experience, how much a coil "settles" is dependant on how much grip there is on the shop floor. Wheel comes down at a goofy angle and grips and you'll need to roll it a couple car lengths to let the tires camber. *Edit: double wishbone will affect this differently than MacPherson
Don't make it so low, it's a GT-R not a ricer. Listen to @tommyfyeah about the height, he knows what does and doesn't look good when it comes to GT-Rs (and most other Japanese cars) not to mention the performance of the suspension. You've done such a good job so far with having it built right, don't ruin the look now 👍
Chris I would spend the money to get the 32 right. Take advantage of who your neighbor is. These cars are gonna do nothing but go up in value. You really can get hurt on this build
*DAYS WITHOUT INJURING LITTLE BILL: 19* *DAYS WITHOUT CHRIS EATING BREAD: 5* Hilarious hearing Kyle mentioned here. My interests constantly collide. RSK
Tommy was right about the suspension settling any time you lift a vehicle the suspension sags and gives your car more positive camber and makes your ride hight just a little higher
Rudnik is on to something with soaking those rods. BMW engineers used to start with used 4 cylinder blocks then leave them outside and even go pee on them before building 1,500 hp F1 engines with them.
Best way to set ride height is to measure from the center of the hub to the highest point of the fender or quarter panel and adjust according to that not just measure the distance of the coil. It helps doing it this way. Also the car will settle! Especially if the parking brake is on when letting the car down
Looks amazing. I used to really not like Tommy but he's grown on me the past few weeks even watch his videos now 😂 took me years to understand the way he is 😅
I can attest to the car getting much lower when you take the e-brake off after adjusting height. Every single one of my cars has done that whether it was on springs or coilovers
If you've ever ridden a motorcycle it begins to make sense. With the e-brake on in a car, you've essentially pre-loaded the front suspension. So say you've come to a stop on a bike with both brakes, and if you ride a bike correctly, you keep your right foot on the rear brake as you come to a stop, and put your left foot down so you can hold in the clutch, keep it in gear, while still having your brake light on (by still holding the rear brake with your right foot), and are ready to throttle out of a bad situation coming up behind/front/to the side of you. While coming to a stop like this, if you never let go of the front brake, then let go after you're at a complete stop, the entire front end of the bike will lift up and the rear will lower. There's very little difference with cars.
Just do the smart thing for your window mounding most windscreen fitters will have a universal mold that goes around front or rear screens looks pretty much oem and would only cost like max 100 bucks
I bought brand new OEM trim for mine that wasn't nearly as much as tommy was talking about, $120 each front and back, interior panels 80 each. the prices he was saying are absurd lol
Love the gtr bro 😎. Ruddie listen to Tommy on the gtr if you don’t listen to anything else. Do not ruin this car it’s way too nice and only going up in value. Listen to Tommy this is the only time you’ll ever hear me say this 😂
coilover dont settle "much" depends on springs maybe in 2weeks only a 0,0xxmm, I think most springs, under normal driving conditions, will settle within 2 weeks. then you need to recheck it...
Chris you’ve been treating Sam like a scum bag lately. What did he do to you lol. He tore up that shitty old tire and I didn’t think you’d ever stop ripping on him
It doesn't matter how high u ride those rims the GTR is still going to look sweet as hell Chris! And with Daddy Tom, Will and Sam in the vlogs everyday the shop seems so fun anyways keep putting in work and get those cars ready you chotch! And btw when are you going to start working on the Hako/Sunny?
ok river miata i love always known of you but never watched your videos until now and i am in love you and tommy together are an absolutely riot, sam too even tho he won’t be there forever
keeep doing your thing mr rodknock. have really enjoyed daily videos since i discovered you. shout out Denver Beer and Oil for putting me onto your channel. cant go wrong with old bmws
