Halo 4’s pelican was pretty cool. It had the scorpion turret you could drive from the co-pilot seat, 2 machine gun turrets, and the spartan laser. It’s a shame we only got to use it on one mission in a linear path.

I remember the Reach Banshee was absolutely broken, so fast, so nimble, and having an easier to use Banshee bomb made this the best banshee at the time

I really liked the Revenant from Reach. It has a Wraith mortar with Ghost maneuverability, and has an extra seat for a passenger.

The Hornet in Halo 3 was so awesome. I remember when my buddy and I came to the part of the campaign where you have to destroy two Scarabs before you can get to Truth. We both hopped into one Hornet, with him piloting and me in one of the passenger seats, and we wiped both of those Scarabs out in record time like a Spec Ops team. I dropped from the Hornet as he was flying over one Scarab, slipped past the guards, and destroyed its core and then he picked me up from on top of the dying Scarab just quick enough that he got clear of the explosion radius just-in-time after getting me. Then we rinsed and repeated for the second Scarab. I think it took us all of a couple of minutes to pull off. lol

I think the Halo 5 Banshee is probably the best Banshee in terms of the flying mechanics. It's not too slow, not too fast, and doesn't feel too heavy. And the easiest to use.

Halo Reach is one of my personal favourites but I honestly am not crazy for their warthogs. The cooldown on the chaingun felt unnecessary, the rockets on the rockethog are too slow, weak and feature a near-useless lockon--especially with how slippery the Reach banshees were--and overall warthogs felt way too bouncy. They were so easy to flip.

I love the roar of the Halo 4/5 Warthog! I don't know, that monster truck roar just says this vehicle has balls

ok ngl halo CE ghost is underrated. It was like a mini tank and it also caused enemies to try and dodge so it really was useful especially against hunters where you could basically force them to turn their backs and if you were lucky splatter them.

I still remember the CE Ghost as that one slippery af boi that if you knew how to use it, you were almost unstoppable. Tanks can't aim at you, Banshees have to rely on strafes and staying directly above the Ghost, Warthogs required teamwork (And we know how well that goes) There wasn't much other than just do ya damnedest to kill a good Ghost boi

3:38 One thing I liked about the Halo 2 (and 3) campaign Banshee is that you didn't have to swap between plasma fire and the fuel rod bomb, like in Reach (I think) and onward.

For the CE vehicles I never enter a vehicle in BTB, Sniper is kinda OP against every vehicle but Banshee. And from grinding Quarantine Zone IL's, The H2 Ghost is so easy and feels amazing to drive and if you hold or press a you can make a very sharp turn and is just the better version of the ghost when it comes to maneuverability

I remember me and my brother, back when Halo3 was released, trying all sorts of ways we heard to somehow unlock the golden warthog. Good times

Was hoping to see the halo 3 Anti air wraith here if you knew how to get in it, was very fun. Still an awesome list though

I did like some of the variants that Halo 5 added. The ONI Warthog was a beast if you had a competent team. Added armor and the chaingun turret had explosive rounds. It was really really good if you had a few players that could work well together. The Hannibal Scorpion and Hannibal Mantis were pretty cool too by taking the standard Scorpion and Mantis and adding energy/plasma based weapons to them was interesting. The Needler Hog was also pretty fun. I believe the description said something about the culmination of UNSC and the Sword of Sangheilios. It was a Warthog that fired needler rounds as well as had a simple energy shield to it. It was a new take on an old vehicle.

Drop pods were always coolest in 3 when the elites drop in.

I love your content, I have been playing halo since I was 6 years old on the original xbox. I stopped in 2018 due to burning out, losing friends all round the world and life in general. I don't have as much time as I used to and switched to ps4 to try out new games and a system. I'm greatful the community lives on especially yours, my memories will cherish forever keep up the content love every single one

I’m a big fan of all the UNSC arial vehicles. They all seem to have their select roles looking back on them. The hornet seems like the primary attacking helicopter. Quickly dropping off 2 passengers and firing from above. The falcon is the support vehicle where there’s a big reliance on communication. Then the wasp was for quick attacks then retreating and doing it again. I’d like to see them all return, but even one returning in halo infinite would make me happy.

Temple ghost, light but can boost and shoot at the same time. Ultra ghost heavy with explosive plasma cannons. Sword ghost, just a slightly armored variant from the normal ghost. Trend continues with banshee and wrath.

There is no poetry to a brute chopper in motion. It is an inexorable object death; a tool of destruction.

one thing that i will miss about the 1-4 games are the covie vehicles when you held the jump button it would levitate up in the air, making it easier to not only get on top of something or get yourself unstuck but also splatter stuff. This being non-existent in 5 and infinite sadly, likely because of the vehicle swapping is the same button.

I’ll always be partial to the idea of the Spectre, but I will concede that the Prowler outshines it in implementation. That aside, I am surprised at the lack of in depth specifics, especially with the warthogs.

As much as Halo 4 sucked (and Halo 5's campaign but it's MP was god tier so I'll forgive it) I will never complain about 343's halo sound effects. A big complaint I always had about bungie Halo is that, aside from CE and Reach being okay, the guns sounded way too weak. 343's sounds are just far superior to me.

Dude. The scorpion from the first game was the most powerful of the set by quite a margin. It would one shot kill everything except the wraith which was campaign exclusive, and had a ludicrous blast radius (I've killed groups of players with one shot in blood gulch many a time on the PC edition). It was also by far the fastest, something they never should have changed in my opinion. Now you can knock it for being completely unbalanced, taking too long to reload, and for having the most useless coaxial machine gun ever. But once the main gun finally fired, the collateral damage was impressive, if you hit close to your mark.

With regards to the Mongoose, I feel it was more at fault with Reach's altered physics that made Halo 3's vehicles feel better to operate. After checking with Assembly, the Mongoose in Reach has double the mass vs the Halo 3 iteration, which could be why it doesn't 'bounce' as much, though I haven't tested it

My favorite halo vehicles: (I don't know if I've done this yet so here we go) CE: Don't have one 2: Warthog (because it doesn't feel slow like 3's) Scorpion (because I can control both weapons. Makes for speed here) Spectre (it handles nice (for me) and fits more people than a warthog 3: Mongoose (it's stupid fast) Prowler (even though it handles like a hippo with three legs it can fit more people than the warthog) Hornet (flying warthog) Acrophobia (I believe I can fly. Makes scarabs turn into babies. Just don't fly too far ahead of stuff and don't fly into a wall at full speed. Elephant (literally a fortress) ODST: Scorpion (makes up for only being able to use one weapon with speed) Mongoose (acceleration, yes) Reach: (Multiplayer only) Any falcon with driver operated weapons Mongoose (how fast do you want to go? Yes.) Pickup truck / spade (speed) Revenant (a wraith and a ghost had a baby) 4: Mantis (this bad boy can survive any fall as far as I've tested) Mongoose (you already know why) Mammoth (fortress and absolute monster) Pelican (it was fun) 5: (Campaign only) Mongoose and gungoose ( next best thing from a mongoose is a mongoose with guns) Pheaton (I found it fun) Ultra ghost (ghost on steroids) Mantis (I don't know if it can survive falls I just know it's fun to walk around in a mech) Boost in Halo 4 was terrible. Overheating in 4 and 5 was one of my least favorite things that 343 did to vehicles.

The chopper does have a weirdly intuitive mix of weapons and drivability. Kinda floaty but you still enjoy the traction a wheel made out of blades provides

I wish the golden warthog was a req in halo 5 war zone. They could have given it halo CE physics so you kill people on the slightest touch.

I miss the Halo1 ghoust's sound... And I kind of missing that the passengers and driver fall out when spin up side down midair, there are many freaky things goes on like cartoonishly flying by getting shot in series of explosives.

I would've liked to have seen a proper introduction of the rhino from halo wars1 and the hawk which was like a guass version than the hornet with the falcon's body and menuverability from reach maybe some other vehicles too but the hawk and rhino i wanted to see the most

You can drive the enemy seraph and the one you fly in the space mission on reach on forge now. However they are unbalanced or balanced in reality and can cross forge world in 4 seconds with one. Might be MCC PC only but I was checking it out

I wish the CE warthog run gave you the option to use a ghost. The ghosts just go where you want them to in CE.

Banshee for the win! Always nice to fly your own multiplayer version of a slow but steady fighter/bomber in a game like Halo. Plus, they sure do well in the campaigns. Not a fan of the Mongoose, since the Warthog's still a thing, what with its turret and all.

The one thing you should never do in a Chopper is try to be Evil Kenevil. Just don't boost going off a cliff, or small hill, or a tiny drainage ditch, or anything really.

I still consider the Mongoose from Halo Combat Evolved Custom Edition Yoyorast Island as the best Mongoose. You drive it with one hand, holding and using your weapons with the right... like a Rocket Launcher. You could swap between your two weapons and reload them while driving... don’t recall if you could throw grenades.

The Halo 2 Ghost is so much fun. I'd always try and steal one in the campaign. I'd play through the Covenant in Halo 3 so many times because of how fun the Mongoose is. All hail the almighty Forklift!

Seriously, every time halo 4 is brought up in a Rocket Sloth video, the video's topic turns into a "hate on halo 4" fest. Why?! Halo 4 wasn't bad, and I think it was mainly the jarring changes that people didn't like. The changes were quite prominent, admittedly, but that doesn't mean that the changes were for the worse. Leave a like to help give love to this sadly underrated work.

I think that one problem with Halo games is that the warthog and other human vehicles that had a machine gun were just superior in damage and ease of use then the covenant counterparts and that the added difficulty of the longer travel time of rounds should have been compensated by the plasma weapons doing more damage which they never really seemed to do

I wish there were more missions using the falcon or at least one mission using a pelican

The Halo 3/ODST chopper is easily my favorite vehicle out of all the games. Fun as hell to drive, the guns were op and you could use it as an anti- vehicle vehicle. So satisfying.

I love halo so watching your challenges just makes me want to do them but I have mostly 360 halo games

The regular H3 Warthog was ridiculously powerful, on a lot of maps once you get enough kills you are able to repeatedly kill everyone before they can get to weapons and vehicles to take you out. With the right circumstances you can easily get 20+ kills when the driver and gunner aren't even coordinating. Halo Reach had its own share of OP vehicles, namely the banshee, the scorpion (can one hit kill anything but a tank) and the gausshog (how was this not mentioned?). The lack of love for Reach vehicles in this video makes me sad, revenant and falcon didn't even get a mention.

I actually liked Halo CE covenant vehicles the best. The ghost felt a bit slippery and was fast in any direction. I was higher off the ground than later ghosts and could lift it's front up more. Its guns also felt and sounded more powerful than in later games. Which is all what I'd expect from an alien hovercraft. The banshee could hover, which isn't included in later games.

The Halo CE warthog was a art form to get good at. Could be four wheels of death just obliterating everything with splatter kills.

I know I might be jaded but the halo 2 campaign gaus hog section in the city was always the funest warthog moment in any campaign

Halo 4 did have UNSC flying vehicles though you couldn't use them in multiplayer unless you made a map in halo 4 forge anvil map where you can use the Pelican and the broadsword also theres a bit of a non-pilotable vehicle which is the lich however even though you can't drive it you can still use it as a map it honestly is that big enough to do so

I generally liked the physics in CE, the driving felt more realistic than it does now. I think Bungie did a great job with their own physics engine, but I can see why they wanted outside help for Halo 2 onwards. They had enough trouble with Halo 2 as it was. PERSONAL FAV. 5: 1.
