Cataract surgery/ Tonslitis/ Dengue/ Minor daycare procedures r not covered.Only corporate insurance Policy is passed with cutting of disposable items .Heart/ Lung / Liver / kidney / Cancer r not covered unless it is specified pls read the brochures don't go by agent who take u for ride.This man is only promoting HDFC ERGO

Similar experience with Niva bupa. They will reject the claim by default. You will need to produce a letter from hospital with very strong words on the purpose of admission, then there will be 50-50 chance to get the claim. I discussed with the TPA department and found that claim rejection rate of star is higher, followed by Niva bupa. I do not know why this youtuber is focusing too much on these two companies.
