Putting all bad aside, 2020 wasn't all bad. This pandemic had its faults (more than ever) but it also brought YVR some unusual and rare traffic. We had special cargo flights, new airlines and a bunch of repatriation flights. So here is a compilation recapping this hectic year and featuring almost all my best catches and memories from 2020. Hope you enjoy and here is to the New Year! Cheers, and I'll see you in 2021. ;D

A strenuous year for the airline industry, no doubt. I think I started watching your videos when you were in the low 1000's and I was living in YHZ then. As of today, almost at 29K. Not surprising at all. As always, brilliant work, ET. You're out there in all types of weather; and your editing skills are exceptional. Congrats - happy new year - and well done. What an absolutely breathtaking video!!! That was insanely good! Incredible clips and brilliant editing (esspecially during the second song)! This is the kind of video I was hoping to see at the end of this crazy year. Aviation has taken a hard hit, but we are not defeated!!! Good times are on the way. And this video just gives that strong belief, 2021 will see good times. Thank you for this masterpiece and all the best for the new year!

Not mine, 2020 was one of the best for me! And people who were held in the German occupation, had to hide with 50 others in a cellar, it’s nothing compared to that. 2020 is just the start of it, the next at least 5 years will be worse!

2020: the best and worst year for new and interesting airlines to come to Vancouver. List of New Airlines that came: Vietnam Airlines Air India Air Tahiti Nui French Bee Qatar Airways and many more! However, 2020 was a year when many airlines we knew of, ceased operations. We probably wouldn't see such a year ever again, I guess. Bravo job! EyeTrapper!

This has got to be one of the best aviation music films of all time, I’m not even joking. Some people may think that we say it’s good just to be nice, but this is truly extremely impressive. There are not many people who can film and edit these videos like you can, you should feel very accomplished! We’re all glad that 2020 is almost done and we hope there is more to look forward to in 2021, and we hope things start to get normal again. Great job, and I wish you all the best for the new year! Absolutely brilliant. My top catch this year was the AN-225 at YYZ, Glad I came to spot at YVR just before everything went to garbage. Amazing video keep it up.

Every time I see a neat plane while I'm at work I can't wait to see your footage of it. The A-380 and especially the Antonov were exciting days for me. The An-124 flew right over me in Richmond when it was heading back to across the Pacific. I felt like a kid again. Amazing videos. Cheers!

Nice highlite reel ...love the canada airforce one ,the AC airbus 220 and Lufthansa 747 which im sure is parked in a desert now . And they were flown and staffed by super people. I think we will need a bit longer runway in 2021 to take off again but when it does it will be crazy!

That was an excellent video, especially considering how the aviation world was hit terribly this year. Not only were airlines struggling, but so are many, many airports around the world. I live in Regina SK and our airport is going to run out of money by the end of January if the Feds don't do something soon.
