More stable slots when? Being restricted to three pets when we have so many different options of playstyle is a bit stifling. Great video thanks for the info!
We are restricted to 2 pets in reality because it is impossible to play STV in lone wolf with a pet in the current stable spot. You need an empty on or your pet resurrect next to you each time and you have to dismiss it , losing 2 sec each time
If u use Scrolls on your pet cat ist better in both Specs also the debuff ist Not Instant and fully buffed ur pet scales with your stats so a pet with more attacks scales on all abilitys. But he ist rigth that they don't be so far of If u don't try to Go for a 99 pharse Go what U Like the most
For ranged I play lone wolf with TNT instead of focusfire and serpent spread instead of sniper training. I don't play melee hunter in pvp at all as it just feels bad without any movement options. 2.0 cat would be my best guess
What do you recommend using your pets skill points for? I usually go max rank armor + health and try to spread the resistance. Dunno if there is better way to do it.
Are WS or Cats better for PVP as a melee hunter? If it is Cat, should I stick to a 2.0 speed Cat for the extra damage or a 1.2 speed Cat for quicker interrupts on casters? If I do end up with a a 1.2 speed Cat as a melee hunter and bring him into ST, will it be that much less dps than the 2.0 cat? I don't feel like taming and keeping 2 separate Cats, unless it's really worth it in a dps difference.
Got the solo WS in ST fun challenge, sucks we only have 3 slots new WS, brooken, and a 2.0 cat. Would be nice if they added 1-2 slots more so we dont have to del pets each phase.
@@overing07 It took me about an hour to find after another hunter got to it right before me. he said killing the 3 neutral sprites that roam around the area seem to reduce the respawn timer, not sure if that's true.
This is HUGELY helpful and honestly what I kinda came to on my own but considering I just leveled my cat up to 50 it's a relief haha. I have "The Rake" which is a 1.2 attack speed cat and I figured the 1.2 to 1.0 difference, for me, isn't worth trying to track down Broken Tooth who only spawns every 6-8 hrs.
Level up it's loyalty by killing enemies. Even though you can't see it gaining xp it is still adding xp to a counter to increase the pets loyalty. Each tier takes a total amount of time passed with pet active and exp earned from killing enemies that would yield xp
Excellent summary, thank you. I have a question about ST rotation. I have tried out many things from: SS Trap CS CS Trap MS MS etc to: SS Trap CS CS AS Trap CS CS AS Trap CS CS etc. still not sure which is the best option, or if there is something else worth considering. I feel like I want to Lock and Load as many Chimaera Shots as possible, but weaving in an Aimed shot means multishot misses out. Is skipping it entirely fine in this situation? I don't get online very often and each time I am looking at what I am doing the group composition varies meaning I am comparing Apples with Pears (or the mob dies really quickly lol). Ultimately it wont matter until I get into ST, but just wanted to hear your thoughts.
Got all 3 with 2.0 at speed, wind serpent has been doing the best damage so far for my marksman hunter, at least with trash mobs. Haven't done anything besides Mara as far as dungeons. Definitely good to have all 3. Serpent just seems op still. This is without trying to optimize focus fire though, I need to try what you are saying with cat/claw. Thanks for all the great info!
I tamed Arash-ethis yesterday in Feralas. It hits hard with 700-900 lightning breath crits. But the HISS sound it makes the entire time gets annoying. Gonna try out my Core Hound next.
As a marksmen hunter can I use a claw pet that’s not 1.0 or 1.2? Like the tiger looks cooler and is 1.3. Is that okay to use? Or is 2.0 better at that point?
Yeah you can, it's a very small dps difference as you get a slower attack speed. 2.0 being the weakest. I plan to change to my green winterspring tiger at 60 even if it's a dps loss. They're 1.5 iirc
Hmm wolf is another pet not included in the sim tool so hard to say via that kind of data . Also lack of stable slots makes it hard for me to test right now. If furious howl gives a frenzy stack then I could see them being decent as I believe it costs 20 focus? But the focus Fire tool tip says "attack" so I'm not sure it would? Would be worse personal dmg for sure but an interesting idea for raid dmg.
so my pets 50. I went and grabbed the wold. but im still not seeing the rank 7 bite to learn for my 50 pet why is this? my pet also only has rank 5 pet. does this matter?
I didn’t see it in your video, did you take into account the armor debuf in raids ? Cause you mentioned the nature for the wind serpent but not the armor debuf . Great guide!
I tamed that zopilote carrion bird for the rune instead of killing it, got the rune and noticed it’s a 2.0 attack speed which can learn bite and claw aswell…are pets normalised so any 2.0 attack speed pet will do the same?
Yes. Basically broken tooth hits faster but hits weaker. 2.0 attack speed cats hit slower and harder. Flanking strike causes your pet to attack when you cast the ability, so you want a harder hitting pet as a melee hunter
@@SolidJakeGG yeah more stable slots would be an awesome qol feature. Yeah i was just curious since serpent sting is nature dmg and still scales with atk pwr I think. I’ll test it out for fun
For my part and because we have at least 2 hunter per raid, i'm doing lone wolf ranged hunter instead and it's even better. I wouldn't recommend it if you're not a try hard tho.
So ranged hunter can have a 2.0 speed cat aswell? The difference is very small you say? Way easier to just grab a 2.0 speed jaguar and use it for both ranged & melee off specc
More or less. The only real differences are that raptors can't learn dash or prowl and they are all 2.0 attack speed when cats have a wide range of attack speeds. Not the end of the world if you really want a raptor aesthetic.
The 'lava breath' from the Core Hound seems to be bugged, since it's only cast for 2-3 secs and then removed from my targets. Is that happening to everyone?
