Best Ice Stacking, Lake Superior (Insane Epic Natural Phenomena)

If you want to see what ice stacking is all about, its power and weirdness, watch this comprehensive video. When I first got to the rock beach on 2/19/12, it seemed pretty quiet. I feel fortunate to live in a mid-sized city with all the amenities, yet within walking distance of the lake wilderness. This may be considered a typical sight within a stone's throw of downtown Duluth, Minnesota, "a city on the edge of a frozen lake at the end of the world."

Thanks for the kind words. I use a Kodak Playsport video camera which is waterproof to 10 feet. If underwater footage is your bag then check out my other vids where I use such footage frequently. This time (1st underwater shoot in winter) even tho I was careful to limit its exposure, I think the cold affected the rubber gaskets that keep water out because some did seep in and it has acted a little funny a couple times since then. But they're pretty cheap too, & I can't live w/out one now.

The "insane, epic" aspect of the video's title might make people think "Clickbait--move along, nothing to see," when in fact this is a very beautiful, well done video and deserves lots of clicks.

Great sense of how to see through the lens. What camera were you using? I was real worried for your camera until you got the great underwater views as well - isn't technology great. I feel like I could use this as screen saver or background video in waiting rooms or in an office.
